Nick will be executed if he is caught living outside of Gilead. They sadly cannot be together bc of Nick's war crimes unless they basically take over & renew Gilead into another country.
A lot of this is just an adrenaline rush for both the characters and the audience. Secret, forbidden, dangerous sex + fighting oppression. It's a romantic and sexy rush of passion, but does not make them soul mates or build a life together. They probably did not even have the time to really talk.

He also hates Fred for Eden and the handmaid before June. Nick and June are truly warriors who survived through hell . While Luke told her to let it go as if what she was feeling was not important, Nick helped her to have her revenge because only he knew how much she suffered because he was a witness. That's why I prefer Nick over Luke because he has always tried to protect her even putting his life in danger over and over again... but Luke, he's just an expectant.
Luke told her to let it go because he knows what it will mean to their children. He is absolutely the healthier relationship for June.. people in real life don’t go around killing their rapests. That’s not how the world works and he never lived in Gilead… how could he understand. Unfortunately what she did has made it so she won’t be able to be a mother to either of her kids. June won’t make it out alive. Nick and her won’t be any thing and neither will her and Luke she is the monster they created.

It was a direct throwback to the first episode. They had the handmaids do a salvaging against a rapist of a handmaid. The fact that "salvaging" was Fred's own brainchild was just poetic justice. He knew what the whistle meant. They have to beat the "criminal" till Aunt Lydia blows it a second time.
Does anyone actually prefer Luke to Nick? I'm so obsessed with Nick/June! They found each other in such dark times but are truly meant for each other. Ugh, that sounds so sappy. But I feel it.
it is obvious that June has not turned the page. Revenge does not always help individuals become resilient. She has not finished because not only is she traumatized forever from her years of torture, but because she wants to find her daughter and then another detail that is very important she loves Nick so deeply (and vice versa). I imagine they could fight a battle to stop this totalitarian regime. A 5th season is evident !

This story is yet another microcosm of people hurting eachother because they are focused on what they want without considering the harm to others. Thats what ultimately was the issue with Luke and his ex, Serena and June, June and Nick, Fred and Serena, Joseph and Elenore, with all of Gilead, and ultimately: with us all on planet earth.
Exactly why I do not feel sorry for Luke for the way he treated his first wife. And back then he even didn’t experience such trauma as June. He just acted out of pure selfishnes and the phone call when he yelled at his wife to move on was really cruel.

While Luke told her to let it go as if what she was feeling was not important, Nick helped her to have her revenge because only he knew how much she suffered because he was a witness. That's why I prefer Nick over Luke because he has always tried to protect her even putting his life in danger over and over again... but Luke, he's just an expectant.
Luke told her to let it go because he knows what it will mean to their children. He is absolutely the healthier relationship for June.. people in real life don’t go around killing their rapests. That’s not how the world works and he never lived in Gilead… how could he understand. Unfortunately what she did has made it so she won’t be able to be a mother to either of her kids. June won’t make it out alive. Nick and her won’t be any thing and neither will her and Luke she is the monster they created.
@@marissaurias5116 Luke is not a professional counselor and probably has no idea how to deal with her trauma and anyone expecting that of him is ridiculous. He was not tellling her to let go of her trauma because he didn’t want her to Kill Fred.. I’m sorry but doing what she did is not healthy.. nor will it allow her to be a parent to her daughter. She allowed her rage to take over that’s not how it works in the real world (where she now lives). I’m sorry you don’t agree but to be honest no one is healthy for June at this point she is beyond that point. I don’t see June surviving in the long run.
@@marissaurias5116 and to be honest everyone’s Luke hate is so unfounded.. he raised her baby from another man. If you don’t call that unconditional love then I don’t know what is. Luke has been nothing but a supportive husband to her.. he’s trying his best in uncharted waters. Again he never said to let her trauma go because he didn’t want her to become a murder 😳

You can’t tell me that selfish that’s a very honorable and loving. And I’m sorry if you think he’s handling this so incorrectly but how would you handle it it’s really a very difficult situation I don’t think anybody can see how they would handle that situation. I’m quite frankly over all of the locate he’s done nothing but be an honorable good husband. My opinion Nick Is shady and is hiding shit

I just noticed the tear in Nick's eye when he sees June in the forest with Fred. Wondering if that tear was happiness that he was able to give her Fred like that, or sadness that she gave in to that revenge and Nick knows she may have crossed a point of no return?
I believe that it was Nick supporting. He was acknowledging all that Fred has put her through and understands her. Luke cannot understand what June has been through or why she can’t just let it go and move on. I’m team Nick all the way!

And it makes me really sad...(Actually disgusted by June right now!!!!)hope that will change in the next season....going to miss this show so much...
It was a direct throwback to the first episode. They had the handmaids do a salvaging against a rapist of a handmaid. The fact that "salvaging" was Fred's own brainchild was just poetic justice. He knew what the whistle meant. They have to beat the "criminal" till Aunt Lydia blows it a second time.

it is obvious that June has not turned the page. Revenge does not always help individuals become resilient. She has not finished because not only is she traumatized forever from her years of torture, but because she wants to find her daughter and then another detail that is very important she loves Nick so deeply (and vice versa). I imagine they could fight a battle to stop this totalitarian regime. A 5th season is evident !

Я читала комментарии , что Элизабет Мосс хейтят , что она неудачная актриса и внешность не та . Люди не понимают глубокого смысла отношений Ника и Джун в данном сериале .
Ник -стабильный ,домашний, семейный парень , который был привязан к матери . Когда его мать заболела , его брат не работал и пил алкоголь , за все нёс ответственность Ник . Он прыгал с одной работы на другую работу . Как понимаю увольняли его за прогулы он ухаживал за матерью .Это все объясняется в сериале .
И Джун такая вся настоящая мать , которая пусть полноватая ,некрасивая , но сексуальная , привлекательная , опытная , сильная , проявляет мужественность во благо своих детей , то есть проявляет материнскую любовь , проявляет нежность к Нику. и сама актриса старше актера, который играет Ника . В общем Нику подобрали женщину постарше , женщину в праобразе настоящей матери . Нику такая и нужна была .❤Никто бы так естественно не сыграл . И заметьте все играют роли с минимальным макияжем . Все естественно .

When handmaid's begun we seen Luke's first wife crying that he betrayed her despite being together since childhood. Now Luke knows what its like to be cheated on....
This story is yet another microcosm of people hurting eachother because they are focused on what they want without considering the harm to others. Thats what ultimately was the issue with Luke and his ex, Serena and June, June and Nick, Fred and Serena, Joseph and Elenore, with all of Gilead, and ultimately: with us all on planet earth.
Exactly why I do not feel sorry for Luke for the way he treated his first wife. And back then he even didn’t experience such trauma as June. He just acted out of pure selfishnes and the phone call when he yelled at his wife to move on was really cruel.
