best cover Ive every seen or heard of this tune...and Ive seen it a few times by several bands...Great sound...lots of talent in that band...good luck!
Interesting!! I was looking for vídeos of this song and then I found this one from PULSE. I got appaled. I was not expecting something so interesting from na unknown group. Solos were based on the original version but with something else, a personal touch. I just loved it. I've got really impressed !!! Sorry to hear the band is not together anymore.
You NAILED the f****er! I think the video is excellent, if the guitar player was visible it'd be outstanding. You guys are really tight, I like the way you stick to the original, wish we did more of that... Great song choice. Keep on keepin... there's a piece of us doing Frankenstein on our low-rent demo (compared to yours) I came on here to investigate GEL options when I found your little nugget of goodness. Later,
So would I but the band broke up in 2010 when the guitar player retired and moved to SC. However, all is not lost. The keyboard player and I (bass) are putting together another band based around the same material.
+Donnie Downer Thank you Donnie. Unfortunately, this band threw in the towel when a member retired out of state. Please keep an eye out for Sonic Rock Orchestra which includes two members from Pulse; me on bass and Bob on keys.
It was written by Jerry Corbetta, J.C. Phillips, and Dave Riordan presumably in 1970 as that was the year that it was released by Sugar Loaf, a psychedelic band. As a genre, psychedelic rock emerged in the mid '60s. See Wiki at tinyurl.com/fp9hd
Really great. Iv'e been playing for quite sometimes. Good on the guitar echo. Alot of people covering it forget. Great Keys, very tight. But, all of you need to dress better, find a image. You look like you are ready to go bowling.
your guitars and bass sound choppy at some points. try dropping the plectrums. they are for chumps. otherwise pretty darn good. and the solo was like poop from the guitar...
This is a good cover except it seems the singer is forced to hold back. Most bands sound check their levels to the singers voice and tone, here it seems the singer is downgrading his voice to the level of the band.
Just trying to offer positive criticism. Drummer needs to practice with a metronome. Your tempo is fluctuating. At least it gets faster, though. It's not slowing from your original count, which can lull one to sleep and is far more noticeable. Keep an ear on it and you'll work it out. Usually easier for someone else to hear anyway. Iron out that kink and you'll be spot on.
No choice in the matter. The camera was placed in the ONLY spot that was safe from being bumped by the crowd. With the band spread out so widely, no camera operator, and the non-HD camera used, this was the best compromise available with zero set up time. The camera was a low priority. The performance took precedence.
Where's the guitar player, I hear him but DUN see him. Don't tell me it's all keyboard and you guy's say your a ROCK cover band with no guitar... Sham on yaz I'm calling Sugarloaf now see you guy's on Judge Judy...lol
With all due respects, the organ solo sucks! Should not feel too bad, only the top key boards can perform the organ solo just as it was meant to be played. Keep practicing.

Great cover , I would like to see a re-shoot at a different venue , with all members on screen .
So would I but the band broke up in 2010 when the guitar player retired and moved to SC. However, all is not lost. The keyboard player and I (bass) are putting together another band based around the same material.

Where was this at? I can`t see the guitarist playing.Too bad. other tan that its a good post Thanx.
This song sounds like if the song would have been written at an earlier time like in 1964!

Nice ;)
You should have some shakers during the instrumental break to give you something to groove with!
I'm with Alex. It's really noticeable in the intro.
Do the musicians have actual names, or...?
Nice! Not an easy song.
Where was this at?
I love 00:50 to 01:03.
You missed a note (Eb) on that first 'riff'... It's one note longer than the rest. That high E on bass... sounds dumb to me. low E low E!
Really great. Iv'e been playing for quite sometimes. Good on the guitar echo. Alot of people covering it forget. Great Keys, very tight. But, all of you need to dress better, find a image. You look like you are ready to go bowling.
Is that a Yamaha YC-30 organ?
nice! gets you there, that's a thumbs up!

Alex Baum they keep rushing the tempo. bass and drums having too much fun!
sorry
WHAT the heck, the one who shot this video needs some lessons. You can`t see the guitarist. It`s a total redo. The sound was good.
That was one great performance.
that post i just posted i thought it was for jim morrison and the doors Touch Me.

Don't sweat it. It happens all the time with keyboardists.
Excelent "hammond" solo!!
Not at all, some parts r missing in this song. Guitar solo is a different technique. In general good version.
Total lounge singer - the rest is good.
