DM made us fight one of those hydras you always forget. We were sitting at a table, discussing stuff, and then we looked over, we saw a cloak and a notebook (filled with the npc talking about us a bunch) The hydra killed an NPC that we never even knew. And it was horrible.
Transplanar RPG, you can find extended cut vods on their yt channel, but the podcast is available on spotify (probably other platforms too), and they play live on Twitch on Saturdays @ 8pm ET (as per the spotify desc.)
This reminds me of when my barbarian was ready to go against the very thing she swore to never do again after losing a piece of her soul and years of her life, just to save her party's cleric from death.
Where do you get a party like that?! Mine nearly got wiped out by a rock in session one! I am not talking about a golem or a meteor but a litteral rock on the side of a cliff
Dont knock your party too hard, this most likely came after their own multiple attempts. Just give it time and eventually you'll get the greatest campaign
How is your group so serious lol? My group for D&D is insane lol. For example; DM: "A kindly elf walks into the room and introduces hersel-" My friend: "✋ CAN I SEDUCE THE ELF?" My group also constantly annoys the DM by going about things in a way the DM did not intend. For example, one time she had this whole thing set up to get past an enemy without fighting and it was this whole puzzle thingy, but instead my teammates decided to just fight instead lol bc they couldn't figure out the puzzle. Edit: I feel like it's also an important detail that my group is a beginner group lol
My group is both. We were all sobbing when the cleric sacrificed herself to save the Druid, but a few hours before the monk went and gave some random old man 100g for his glass eye to have a spell component because she didn't know how magic worked. We've also managed to talk ourselves out of so many fights it's not even funny anymore, it's just become plan A so we can mess with the DM.
It really just depends on who you're playing with and what you guys discussed! Some groups can do silly and serious and you just have to communicate what playing style you would like to do!
My party and I once fought a Banshee. We killed it but one Skeleton remained. His memories were gone, in his head was just one wish. To make friends. He started to become a member of the group and before the last session from our campaign till ther next. He vanished. Thanking us for being his biggest friends since he can remember. The goodbye was so heartbreaking... But now we are searching for him and i hope for the dm that he does NOT kill him. WE LOVE THAT SKELETON
I really need to get to listening to this podcast ;-; if I'm starting from this campaign specifically would I miss out on lore or anything? or is it ok to start from here?
A bit late but still useful, you want to start at arc one so that you can get the jist and can understand why certain things are the way they are, but if you don’t mind being out of the loop on some jokes, references, and a few equivalencies then you can 100% skip to Act 2.
They are few feelings like when you, as the DM, are left speechless. It's either a wonderful thing, like this; or it's a horrible thing, that will make you follow through on that TPK impulse and reassess your choices. Either way, I've yet to find something to compete with that emotional rush
My campaign setting where the world is going to be destroyed by its star going red giant and science and magic advanced together is greatly inspired by my grief and love for my father, who loved astronomy and science in general and shared that love with me before he died. Knowing I'm not alone in processing things this way is comforting.
"She didn't deserve to die like that..." "But she did... And i cant help but feel like its my fault." "But it isn't-" "It is. I could have saved her but my pride couldn't tear me in two to save both of you." Actual convo at my table
Here’s a story where I cried So I had the background of a knight which allows me to have a squire and we met the little guy who was so cute and his dream was to be a squire and fast forward one of the party members pissed of a ice dragon which inter used there breath wepon which my squire got caught in and my dam rolled 2 nat 1s which should have killed him but my dam made a decision to keep him alive by making sure I got the the hospital that was there and I was in control of my tears then in his little voice went (Thanks for saving me) and I just started crying and lost it and I have got to keep him ever sence and also it is my fault for ignoring him but now he is my main thing I check on in a round of compat before I charge head first into a battle
You just gotta love when players are the ones who ruin the gm's mental health
By doing something besides screwing around too hard and breaking the campaign
Without it being because of bad gameplay too lol
I love it when they destroy my mental health 😭😭😭 I’m not crying it’s the onions fault!!!
"I see her everywhere"
Are. You. KIDDING ME.
That’s the straw that broke the camel’s back.
I’m bawling.
why was that one scene better than 99% of hollywood
It was better because the emotion was there it was real and you can just feel it.
Because it's an RPG with Connie as a GM and these exact people for a party ❤❤❤
the EMOTION WAS
*_R E A L! VISERALLY R A W_*
NO... Remember my comrades. WE DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE BODIES IN THE WATER.
r/BeatMeToIt
REALLLL
Real
Damn it you got to it before me
Can someone explain please?
By just mentioning a body in the water, you caused the entire SCP fandom to appear
Don't you judge us. It's a very powerful summoning technique and they used it too lightly.
WE HAVE BEEN SUMMONED L
We don't recognize the bodies in the water
"Then I mourn for you twice" BROOOOO 😭😭

Said hydra is called a False Hydra btw

_Contemplating TPK_ and _Contemplating legal action_ 😂
Masterfully done. It hurts my heart and the hurt is good
"I see her everywhere" had me actually tear up oh my god
It was beautifully said ❤️🩹
The urge to say "you do not recognize the bodies in the water" is immense
This reminds me of when my barbarian was ready to go against the very thing she swore to never do again after losing a piece of her soul and years of her life, just to save her party's cleric from death.
Why'd i have to discover this series, I dont have time 😭

I NEED TO START LISTENING TO YOU GUYS PLAY. this is mandatory.

@@DenEbony Thats really sweet of you, thanks
this unironically sounds really fun tho I wanna hear the rock story
Honestly, I feel that... I am trying to get over my anxiety with voice role-playing by playing DND with my gf and it's so hard
It all starts at character creation and session zero expectations

You are under arrest for assult using an uppercut of emocions
Love that even the DM was freaking out lol

why am i crying when i havent even watched the campaign xD
Golly I could only dream of having such genuinely fantastic scenes in my games… I had zero context but I still got chills!
I really need to get to listening to this podcast ;-;

That was......... an emotional rollercoaster... so bueatifull 😢❤
Came back to this short to say this clip reminds me of the song trending "you can't catch me now"
My dungeon master made our skeleton turn emo again when she killed one of our main npc’s. And omg everyone was teary-eyed
EMOTIONAL DAMAGE: The TTRPG
I gave my player inspiration for making me cry once…
Big mistake. Now they’re all trying to get me to sob for an extra dice 😂
This Was The One That Made Me...Watch It
I legit started crying a little
I genuinely can't tell if they need therapy, or if this is their therapy
that * contemplating legal action * at the end omfg
This one broke my heart 💔
Love u guys, you're being a great inspiration for me 😍
Oh my god, I'm gonna cry, I am so done... Holy smokes.
. I was NOT expecting to cry today 😭
I havent seen a whole lot of clips that explain the characters so Im pretty blind to who is who. But I was still tearing up at this. Wonderful~

I have never ever been this hurt by a youtube short

Thank you for giving me an idea lol!
It's not exactly the same but also quite similar
Im crying- the reactions of the others are *chef's kiss*
Oh hod i might start hyperventilating oh god- tears started-
"I see her everywhere" I immediately started crying. Omfg
BRO MY H E A R T
I FEEL THE PAIN OF THE PC'S AND GM
Dont know the context. But i cried at this. I know that pain. Damn, thanks for that, i surpisenly found this kinda helpful.
contemplating tpk got me 😭💀
I really need to see if this is archived because all of these shorts make the story seem so intriguing
Okay you run at that point, you run out of the room and cry in the shower
the way I’m almost crying and I don’t even know the characters well
I'm crying 😭😭😭😭
The way I would have BURST into tears
The emotions are amazing 😢
"Help" lol
I really want to see one of your campaigns as a movie that would be so cool! Honestly, I would do it myself, I'll figure it out, dw.
The voice, is better than Hollywood
Man... I don't even know the story, or the characters, but this hurt me
I git chicken skin man. Dont make me cry like that
‘Contemplating a TPK’ I don’t think that’s a healthy way to handle grief…
"She didn't deserve to die like that..."
"But she did... And i cant help but feel like its my fault."
"But it isn't-"
"It is. I could have saved her but my pride couldn't tear me in two to save both of you."

omg.
At least, you got the player you deserve ^^

Goosebumps.
Me on episode 3 or smthn: they're all so sweet, I love em, but I know someone's gonna die, bet it's Sing-
"Yo, Sing DIED"
Me: BITCH WHAT THE FU-
Back in my day you could look at the comments for context
I gotta watch this campaign at some point
This broke me and I don’t know the story yet..
YOU DO NOT RECOGNIZE THE BODIES IN THE WATER
I have no idea what the story is about, but that just destroyed me completely.
This has to count as some sort of crime, like assault
Is emotional assault a thing?
Is it legal?
Do we get to draft up a new law!?
You lot are so great
Just started watching this compain and I am crying spoilers why must you hurt my heart
Wow, that got me
Campain
Man I’m gay
Cool

Wait, i don't get it. Why don't i get it :(
Gosh I wish I understood the context.
