Of course I can’t know for sure but it just seemed like Jiyong didn’t know how to play with Seungjae. He’s not very good at playing pretend or baby talk. But now that Seungjae is a little older it’s coming more naturally to him. And even better. He does weird stuff and makes jokes he knows Seungjae won’t laugh at just so that Seungjae can express himself. Even if he’s being annoyed or lecturing his dad, that’s still fun in a way. Jiyong has learned how to let himself be more relaxed and let Seungjae take the lead. It’s really working out for them now. Playing the kind of loser, fool for his kid dad really suits him. Seungjae will appreciate it so much when he’s older and realized how much freedom to express himself his dad gave him.
