Pete! This is awesome! I’m so pleased that you tried my cocktail! I get what you mean with shrubs varying - I think the malt vinegar that I used was pretty weak. Thank you so much for the shoutout and review 🥃 cheers!
This looks fantastic. I love Zucca. My fave rhubarb based amaro is Sfumato Rabarbaro, made from Chinese rhubarb. Familiar with it? Earthy and beautifully smokey - love it with mezcal. ok...off to buy some strawberries!
Love Zucca! Makes what I'd argue is perhaps the finest expression of the Amaro Caldo, which if you haven't tried I highly recommend (though maybe wait for the cooler months)!
House spec chez moi is 1:2 amaro to boiling water - good place to start if you're looking for one. A twist of orange rounds things out nicely, but I'll often lazily forego it.

Really enjoy Zucca. Happy to see you do a review of it - especially excited abut the cocktail you made! Always find your originals intriguing 👍
Cheers! Its a good drink TheWeePearl came up with!

It was fun and delicious! when I make it again I will dial down the shrub a notch. I am so happy someone else is making strawberry shrub!
This is so cool. Love seeing TH-camrs make each other’s stuff. Great video Pete!
Thanks man! trying to spread the love!
This looks tasty Pete. i wonder if i can get some of this.
Oh it is worth looking for, if you like Amari.

I haven't had Sfumato in a minute, but as I recall it is much smokier than Zucca. My plan is to go get Sfumato and do a little taste test. cheers!

Thanks for the tip! I have never tried that, but I have heard of it before. I need to remind myself to try it i the fall.
How many amaro bottles do you have? Or how many amari? Which is kinda fun to say.
I have probably 8-10 currently, I tend to rotate them in and out as I finish them.

Sfumato is another rhubarb-based amaro and is excellent.
Yes! it is delicious, I intend to get some and have a taste test!
