- I did my absolute best to try and save this rug, using new tools to do the least amount of damage as possible. It was a losing battle but I did lean a thing or two along the way.
I've compiled all the links, to all my various sites, in one handy location - linktr.ee/mountainrugcleaning
Please check it out and follow the ones you're not yet. I would very much appreciate it.
Many thanks

You should name that roller Rick - The Rick Roller. Could ever put a picture of Mr. Astley on the rolling bit so he rolls along as you go.
The captions throughout the video made me ridiculously happy! I really love when you include written commentary.
I love the fact that you didnt give up and accept "failure". You turned it into a learning opportunity. Perfect.
Something that goes underappreciated about these rug cleaning videos is just how HEAVY rugs are when wet! Today I cleaned my own 5'x7' rug, after having it for 3 and a half years. I discovered mold under it, so I had to do something, and it was too stiff to throw into a washing machine. I don't have all these fancy tools, but I scrubbed by hand with laundry detergent and a scrub brush, rinsed with my front yard's hose, and squeegeed with my cookie sheet. It took a few hours, and was exhausting! It is still drying with a fan blowing on it.
Just wanna thank you for your videos, they help my toddler go back to sleep when he has had a nightmare- I usually save them all to watch with him but this one peaked my interest! X
You know it’s bad when the rug is delivered in a body bag! 😂
You did really well considering the amount of damage to the rug. Still looked 100% better than before😊You're going to need to get some goggles for when you do the foam mushroom 😂
Can’t believe you cleaned it up so well.
I think was a learning experience for all of us. Watching these videos have made me believe that just about any rug can be saved despite exposure, dirtiness, etc. But this one reminds us some damage is irreparable.
I was thinking “Black mold?! Omg, where is your mask??” Jump cut to him wearing his mask lol.
That was actually very interesting, despite the fact you couldn't save it.
I love it when you do a bit of captioning and show us your thoughts and techniques during the cleaning.
Acknowledging that we don't know something, and being willing to learn, is the only way we get better. Keep it up!
I love how, on the first pass with Dirt Reynolds, his hat was slightly back on his head giving a sort of ‘Wow! What is this’ inflection and later it was down over his eyes giving a more determined look 🤣💕. Well done, that rug was so far gone I’m amazed you did so well with it! And I love the roller.
My grandmother used to have a rug like that and I remember her cleaning it weekly. You did an amazing job on this rug.
That was a great learning rug!
I don't see what you are on about. Compared what it did look like to final look I truly think you revived that rug and gave it a new lease on life. It's not perfect but then it's preloved and clean which is the real miracle here, you did a bang up good job bud.
Well done for attempting to clean it, such a shame it was such a wreck to begin with.
I must hand it to you; you made a valiant effort to deal with what most might consider a 'lost cause'. Brilliant work, sir!
Glad to hear you took this as the perfect opportunity to learn and hone your skills. It's important to learn from failures as well as successes
