In the right repertory (particularly contemplative, plaintive, bucolic music), Lezhneva always makes me think about 2 things: 1) undescribable purity (most pure voice + most pure, unlabored musicality) + 2) the most natural, graceful joy in the very act of singing. She always conveys utmost peace and a state of blessed relaxation through her voice. Say what you will, she is a true artist, she creates "that" kind of connection (with the audience and with something transcendental that we can only imagine) and extraordinary beauty that the true musicians are capable of, she can make time stop for at least a few seconds.
