36:46 Speaking of smart water, I just remembered that we had some similar thing in a table top rpg many years ago. I don't remember the exact details but it was similar to smart water, the difference was that when you drank it your character gained some skillpoints from the knowledge contained in the water. I remember one character getting a surprising amount of skillpoints in fishing from drinking one of the "smart waters we found. They where part of a dragon's hoard and I think we where gifted them for helping said dragon with something. 44:02 Seems like Dark Souls Santa lied to a bunch of school children 🤣
8:36 Imagine having redo "one small favour" Ive done it several times, not just for me but also for my younger brother. Had a period of time when I did quests for him since quite a few of the quests involve lengthy guides. Edit: Not that long ago, I showed my brother how expensive some of the food from fast food chains in Sweden had gotten. Made a mock order via delivery service called foodora on Max hamburgers (Swedish national fast food chain). A double Frisco hamburger meal cost 18$, 5$ was for the delivery from Foodora. The craziest thing is that the hamburger alone was 11$, almost the entire cost of the meal (11$ out of 13$).Doesn't help that the chain has also dropped in quality. Id rather buy stuff and make my own burgers, not like that's a hard thing to do. 30:40 One of them is a proper crash mat, the other is only called a crashmat cause it managed to just inch itself past the minimum government requirements to call itself a crash mat.
1: Love the longform cliptastic clipsaga 2: In HEMA fencing "fluke" comes from German "flach" meaning flat and dates back to as early as the 1600s. In context that is a hit with the flat side of the sword as opposed to the edge, point, guard, handle, or butt of the sword. While today all HEMA swords are blunt; hitting with a fluke is still a very ineffective hit since the point of impact is spread across the blade instead of just on the point or edge and rewards no points in tournaments, but with a heavy enough weapon (like a longsword, montante or zweihander (montante and zweihanders are not legal tournament weapons)) and enough force behind the hit you can still drive your opponent back or stagger them.
Not flat, but flugel/vlugel aka wing and in older times nail/pinion/spike. Same reason why they sides are called that for farm tools, fishing, climbing hooks and anchors across germanic languages.
I remember when the combat came out and you can activate this auto skill It lets mages spam that super long stun ability while still being able to basic attack while normally you can't use stuns or basic attack during said stun
I only just found this channel for the first time after catching a POE2 load screen update, I was like, "Well, we nailed that one now, didn't we... might as well marathon a couple, few hours and counting" ...I never comment on vids where I am lagging a we bit behind by an entire year as well... however your villain is Daniel Day Lewis in his portrayal of Bill The Butcher, Gangs of New York ...cheers!
So... with regards to summer time... the idea that it's "for the farmers" is apocryphal - it was never "for the farmers" and farmers have never cared - that's just a thing that people say to justify it. changing the clocks for Summer time actually originates from the germans during the world wars - they were struggling for fuel supplies, and they worked out that having people drive during the daylight improved fuel efficiency, so instituted a clocks change to help people save fuel. A large portion of western Europe and the USA followed suit later. ---- Problem is, nowadays it's not true any more. Motorway lighting and modern headlamps are good enough, that the fuel savings for daylight savings have been eliminated - it's actually better for fuel usage to NOT change the clocks, because it spreads out travel times a little and dilutes the "rush hour" effect which makes driving very inefficient. In the modern era, Daylight Savings has only two major impacts on society 1) Economic productivity decreases massively for a few days, as people end up having to move their sleep schedules and end up coming to work tired. Meetings, especially international ones need to be rescheduled, and we see a general downturn in economic output for a few days while everyone gets used to the new timings. 2) The number of traffic accidents spikes for a few days, leading to a large increase in road deaths and injuries.
29:15 Yes the "apparatus" that Josh is referring to is a school gym kaleidoscope indoor climbing frame. Google it for pics. A lot of UK primary schools would have this bolted to the wall in the largest area of the school. Depending on the school this is usually also the lunch room (tables and chairs are laid out at lunch time and then stacked against a wall when not in use). This frame can be unlocked and be allowed to swing out from the wall and then have a hook which would fall into a small hole in the floor to lock it in place. Josh is correct in that it's not often used much. I guess because of all the injuries. The blue mats I have to disagree with a little. Yes you had a 'crash mate' which was about 1 foot thick of a foam and then the thinner mats which are gym mats and are roughly an inch thick. They're actually better than a hard floor especially when doing various exercise routines as that extra inch does make a difference. You'd be sitting on them upright or on your back and the comfort is just plain better. If you did one of those out of school hours activities which used them (like Judo), being slammed onto the mat is far better than being slammed into a hard floor. It's a crime that in high school they call physical education 'Games' on your timetable. And here I thought I was going to play some D&D or video games for a whole hour on school time
22:30 You talking about haunted video games, or horror levels in video games has reminded me of an ancient memory I was playing Final Fantasy 12 on my PS2 I never made it terribly far in that game, but boy did I like exploring the early areas! Except... The Zertinan Caverns That cave system scared the piss out of me Suddenly much higher level monsters spawned! Green horses would teleport out of nowhere and kick me to death, endless green oozes, creepy bone wyrm looking things! And as I fled from all of these monsters, I entered a room No cutscene, but the room is full of myst, and at the top of my screen? A boss healthbar Level 40 zombies are strewn about this maze of an arena, and I can't find the boss through all the myst! I'm fuckin' terrified (not just from the creepy dungeon, but at the thought of losing progress) And then I see it, a shadow floating out of the myst. I never got a very good look at it, I still don't know it's name, but it scared the hell out of me, and then killed my last remaining party members with some lightning bolts Eugh, what a horrific area
For random pedantry point, that wasn't Garth Merenghi that was Matt Berry who played Dr. Lucien Sanchez in Garth Marenghi's Dark Place. (I'm ready for someone to earn extra pendantry point for the character Garth Marenghi played and the actor who played Garth,)
I always put on your videos and watch as I am about to sleep, so when I fall asleep I dream of a British man talking about shitty MMOs and wake up to some whack ass gameplay on my TV in the middle of the night.
Out of context question: But how tall are you? One site says 5"2 where as another one puts you at 6"2. Nonetheless I love you and your content! Oh btw when next session zero?
So much nostalgia from watching him play osrs. I play rs3 a bit but not really. Runescape is the ultimate nostalgia game. Over 12k hours in game lol. Don't really play now but so many good memories of it. My RSI with mouse hand kinda stopped me from playing it
Being very close to an active volcano on an alien planet is most likely quite sanitary. 1. The heat would kill most creatures. 2. If an alien parasite was there and adapted for life in constant vulcanism, would it still be compatible with Anakin's dry and sandy biology? (Are the human-like creatures in Star Wars actually humans or another type of aliens that appear really similar to modern humans?) I'm just going out on a limb here and saying that Anakin was in an extremely sanitary environment. It was unsafe and dirty, but quite unlikely to result in infection. Also applies to real life, if you get a cut while visiting Io, infection is very low down on your risk of problems. Being on Io seems like the biggest problem to focus on solving first.
I don't want them to remove summer time, I just wish it was summer time all the time. Because when you go back to winter time, it means the sun comes up earlier, meaning it also goes down earlier. I'd much rather, in winter, still have sunlight at 17:00, but it's dark at 7:00, than the other way around. I don't want to ever be awake at 7:00, why would I care if there's light or not?
Growing up not being rich seems to be the best kind of growing up.. Growing up rich turns you into a terrible being.. Growing up like very poor can turn you into a terrible being.. I just grew up "middle enough" to be lethargic towards everything.
Same thing with daylight savings here in NZ. It's annoying. Just pick a time and stock with it. That whole discussion about daylight savings same as NZ. Like ppl wanting to get rid of it etc. So funny to hear the same thing here
Removing BST would be an awful idea. Sunup at 3am would be HORRIBLE. I can't imagine I'd ever have a working circadian rhythm if it was changed (and I still lived in the UK).
The Daylight savings being for farmers is a myth. The real reason was to get as many people out of the house to reduce house heating during winter and thus reducing fuel costs. It was convicved before WW1 and was implimented by Germany during it when their fuel reserves ran low. It was effective and was later addopted by basically every other developed industrial nation at the time. It was all about saving coal, as if people got up earlier with the sun and left the house for work and school they would congrigate in places of work, meaning they would be heating those places instead of their homes. While it is less effective now days it does still produce some effect to reduce energy costs.
Had a massive brainfart and misread the title as "Raw Uncircumsised Josh Strife Hayes" and I was alarmed.
If it's "educational" then it's okay for youtube :)
well if it helps "uncut" can mean the same thing
Freudian.

Josh Strife .... Plays??
Josh's ASMR has woken up things in me I didn't know I felt
The most _'WTF is this thing I'm feeling?'_ reaction I've ever got off a stream I think!

Pretty chill vid. I don't use twitch anymore really so never see him live. Good to see a bit more stream highlight kinda things.
Missed the whole "Am I giving him a banana" realm of dirty jokes?
John with his smart water is turning into ugandan action movie, you think you can put one more sip of smart water but youre not sure.
This is a reference I thought I'd never see in the comment section of a Josh Strife Hayes video.....and I'm a year and five months late 😂
Josh has so many friends he plays Yawgmoth to lose some. What a chad
This. This is the one.
This is the vid that finally made me subscribe to JSS.
Love this long uncut format Josh ✌♥

Josh asmr wasnt on my apoc download list but here we are.
My plentiful thanks to viza for this hour of josh clips
I genuinely did not expect the bloodhoung gang reference, damn near choked.
I don't have to sing the alphabet song, but my degree is in English. I'm a trained professional.
Uncut
Josh knew what he was doing with this title xD
And us gays are here for it
Okay but why the fuck does every single TH-cam video Josh talks about popped up on my recommendation in the last 3 months?
53:35 Josh, I love you, but you're an absolute bastard. Well played.
This is the greatest channel to play Runescape 3 to
Thank you for the second monitor content. Maybe you can start an ASMR channel for primary monitor content people can fall asleep half way through. 😂
Josh Strife Hayes - Last Monitor Standing
I wonder if Josh knows Smart Water in England is rebottled tap water.
I assume he's just refilling the bottle straight from the tap.
Is there a place where it's not?
@@Candlemancer woops. My bad. It was Dasani that was tap water. Everything else is distilled vapor.

well for the spear specifically it can't be right since you don't swing a spear unless you don't want to kill your enemies
The origins of "the game" do help it proliferate widely very quickly, given it was first created at the IMO.
