    Hi my Madam,
I'm little bit confused about' then only'.
    1)only then
    2)then only
When I made a sentence, someone said that it's wrong. Which one is correct?

    • @eficazacademysspokenEnglish
      @eficazacademysspokenEnglish  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Then only is used much in some Asian countries. Only then is more formal.

Yesterday I went to Temple that time only I saw my friend . While I was writing homework , that time only my father is called to me. Coming to depavalli then only he will come from hostel. Do you have money then only you can go to tour .

Yesterday I went to temple, that time (only) I met my friend.
While I was writing my HW, my dad called me. (That time is not necessary when we use while)
This deepawali he will come back home from hostel.
If you have money you can go on a tour (tour is not a place so 'to' use seiyakudadhu sir)

@M Muruga ... Yes sir. Naan tappu-nu sollala. Grammatically uncommon-nu sonnen. Widely used in American English. American English is popular but we Indians follow British English in educational institutions, etc.
American English-la negative sentences la 'ain't' adhigama use seivaanga....
He ain't coming, she ain't going, etc. But namma proper helping verbs pottu pesuvom... He is not coming, she is not going, etc.
Loved ones, red ones, yellow ones .... Numbers count seiyum bodhu ones, tens, hundreds, etc are used.
Where are your shoes? There. Those yellow ones (not formal but widely used). There. That pair of yellow shoes. (Formal)
My bad!! If I had mentioned these examples before, you would've found it easy.
Biscuit in UK, Cookie in US
Programme in UK, Program in US... While both the spellings are accepted in Australia.
Colours in UK, Colors in US
Aunty in UK, Auntie in US, Australia... But formal English la 'aunty/auntie' rendumae illa. 'Aunt' dhaan correct.
