You are by far the best teacher. I was afraid of trying the purl stitch until I watched this easy to follow instructional video. Thank you for making learning to loom knit such fun and ease. I got my sister hooked on loom knitting now too.

Hi baby j! Thank you so very much for watching. I hope you enjoy the purl stitch. With knowing just the e-wrap stitch and the purl stitch, you will be able to loom knit almost anything. All the best to you!🌻🧶🌻
Hey Ms. Wambui, it's Tootie! How are you? I love the hats you've made. I have never loomed, only embroidered. Your tutorial on the purl stitch was easy to follow and you've piqued my interest in learning this craft. Good to see you and you look radiant as always. Have a blessed and prosperous year in 2019. 🤗💕
Thank you sooo very much! There is always room for one more loom knitter in this world - come on in! I saw your comment and went looking for you. Found your other channel. All the best to you and your loved ones!🌻
I purchased loops & threads, soft and shiny, medium 4 yarn. I want to make a blanket that I’ll keep on my couch. Even though this yarn is a medium 4 yarn, it is the thinnest yarn I’ve worked with. I have a long loom (or a rake? loom) measuring 13.8 in. With 1/2 between pegs. What stitches would you recommend for this project? I’ve made one baby hat and several “curly” panels lol! P. S. The baby hat turned out great😀. Sorry this is so long. I love watching your videos and how you instruct very clearly and with a sense of humor.
Hi Anne! I know how frustrating it can be to buy a yarn that they say is one weight and when you go to use it, it is almost like using sewing machine thread LOL. I would recommend making panels on the long loom and then joining them together. Below I am listing links to the videos from my channel that can get you going on the long loom very quickly. I think, once you get the hang of it, you might find it fun. Any weight yarn can be used. However, if the yarn is too thin, your blanket will have more of a lacy look. Using the loom as I do, will have a looser knitting feel than working on the round loom has. In the beginning it will feel like your stitches are too loose. However, keep going and when you see the first few inches coming out of the loom, you will be able to have a better idea of what the finished product will look like. I appreciate you watching and thank you for reaching out. Let me know if you have other questions. I hope you are enjoying your day! 🌻🌻🧶🧶🌻 Here are the links: How To Loom Knit On A Long Loom - Part One - Loom Knitting🧶Wambui Made It th-cam.com/video/MDzBAE0fRhw/w-d-xo.html Casting Off - or Getting Your Project OFF the Long Loom - Loom Knitting With Wambui Made It th-cam.com/video/FA66lU3uh80/w-d-xo.html Join Loom Knitted Sections With the 'Whip Stitch" - Blankets and Afghans On the Long and Round Loom th-cam.com/video/ZijN8LWwdlo/w-d-xo.html
I followed these instructions exactly but the bottom of the project (the first few rows) curled up. Any ideas what I did wrong? Perhaps I pulled too tight after putting the new loops on the pegs?
Greetings! Here is link to the loom that I am using: www.michaels.com/knit-quick-knitting-loom-set/10356126.html I bought them at Michael’s. This is the first set of blooms that I ever owned. Many blessings to you!🌻🧶🧶
Thank you 😊! I wouldn't have thought to look at Michael's! I also have a Michael's store within a 20 minute drive so I can see up close. I've been looking for looms with a peg like my 24 peg thrift store find, but having a difficult time. It's so much easier to knit with and better than the yarnology looms I bought. God bless you 🙏 ❤️
Hi Catherine! You want about 36 pegs - and you want to make about 35 to 40 rows to have a hat about 8 -9 inches in length. Thank you for watching. All the best to you!🌻🌻🧶
Thank you for watching. I have never tried the Addi knitting machine. I would love to own one to try out. If I get one, I will be happy to review and demonstrate it on the channel.
Hi Julie! Thank you so much for being on the channel. I will have to check out your method of purling one day. Although, I feel like I’m too set in my ways and at this point, I’ll just keep purling like I’ve always purled. But I am curious to see how you do it. All the best to you!!🧶🌻🧶
