My goodness. For months now you've been showing us the same people laughing at the police and then the police not doing anything. As a retired deputy sheriff I would have done something the first week. I would not enable these unpermitted probably undocumented workers. I would like to see them actually arrested rather than just escorted off the property. Because they're breaking the law. And there's comes a time when you have to say enough is enough. And I think after all these months that enough has been enough.
what legal basis would you have to arrest them? Are you sure you were former law enforcement? It looks like you need to get up-to-date with law in LA. I don't condone what they are doing, but the police do not have legal ground to arrest them. Also, just by looking at someone, how would you know their legal status? It seems to be that you are the Fox News kind that swallows all the right wing propaganda.
Why would let drive those trucks off property. Both have no front plate. One has letters and numbers painted in one color. And the other is not a plate.
It’s a fix it ticket he needs CHP to see that he’s in compliance by reinstalling the plates before or on the court date issued on the ticket if not he needs to explain to the judge why he hasn’t done so and if he skips court he gets a nice WARRANT issued so next time it’s jail bird time.
@@thenoid5131 They can check to see if it’s current and if not then it’s straight toll. Not a fit it ticket. Not on registration and if you use a fake registration then it’s a federal offense and jail time.
I really hope this cat & mouse game is over. The illegal vendor with their unpermitted carts have gotten down right testy with the law enforcement officers. The carts needs to be confiscated and the vendors have to be cited to demonstrat heavy consequences. Otherwise, these illegal vendors will be right back. I would like to see the legitimate business owners sue the city for not letting the cops do their jobs.
You know those tags are fake there is no way the health department would let you sell food like that. And they also need receipts for everything they sell. Tax man needs his share.
They need to confiscate and destroy the carts to prevent the repeaters from returning. Besides continuing braking so many laws like, paying taxes, proper sanitation, safety, food handling guidelines if they aren't at the pier, they've only taken there unlawful stuff somewhere else.
Police department still Kant take down this cartel people tax-free another year I'pay taxes every year good job officers keep up with your task.God Bless America
There is a need as many of the vendors do not wear gloves in handling the food/fresh cut fruit and it also requires a permit, as many do pay the permit and follow the simple guidelines to be able to sell as a vendor in that area. When you just show up with who knows what or where it came from food to sell, that is when an outbreak of disease or contamination can occur, it does and has happened then the public health dept has to give shots and some end up in hospitals. So be kind to the task force they are trying to help the public stay safe and not get ill. Thanks all.
I think it's disgraceful that these people Laugh-In the police officers faces. Like it's some kind of joke or game. These officers have a lot better things to do it's a shame that they have to be put up to the city's Dirty Work. I completely agree with the job they're doing. And I think they should put a couple these people in jail that would wipe the smile off their faces along with destroying their carts after they confiscate them
There are security guards at all entrances, plus an unpermitted vendors task force made up of Police Officers, Code Enforcement Officers, Santa Monica Fire Personnel, and Health Deputies.
Ohhh ok I was wondering as they usually just all run pass the enforcement, but if they're getting there early they can't enter to begin with. Thanks for the reply.
There should be a disclaimer at the beginning of these videos. For entertainment use only, as these vendors are allowed to run the show with no consequences.
Everybody's like "way to go Santa Monica police!!" Do a little google search and you'll find out those cops are making $200k+ a year. Some patrol officers make $350k. And this is the most action they'll get, the hardest they'll work. If it's not a homeless person sleeping on a sidewalk it's someone selling food without a license.
Illegal vendors are not permitted on the pier. Tell your people to go to Alvarado st or somewhere in la. Good for the cops who make good money and the crime rate is not high. That’s how it should be in affluent neighborhoods.
