- Venice, Los Angeles - July 19, 2024: On Friday, a significant cleanup operation was conducted at Venice Beach, targeting a local homeless encampment with the involvement of a multi-agency task force. This team comprised members from the Los Angeles Park Rangers, the Los Angeles Police Department, the City of Los Angeles Department of Public Works, Recreation and Parks, and Clean Harbors Environmental Inc..
The operation was safely and efficiently managed with the presence of Los Angeles Police Officers and Park Rangers. It marked a concerted effort among the Department of Public Works, Recreation and Parks, and Clean Harbors Environmental Inc. Team members donned protective gear to sort and appropriately dispose of both hazardous and non-hazardous waste.
This cleanup is part of the City of Los Angeles' broader strategy to address homelessness while improving public health and sanitation. It underscores the city’s commitment to addressing these pressing urban challenges.
Notably, no citations for public camping violations were issued during this cleanup, indicating the city's preference for supportive over punitive measures.
This cleanup is part of a series of ongoing actions, including regular Friday cleanups along the Venice Beach Boardwalk, all under the supervision of Los Angeles Park Rangers. These initiatives are essential components of the city’s comprehensive strategy to maintain cleanliness and safety while addressing the root causes of homelessness.

Keep up the good work I love it it’s good to see the city actually doing some thing to clear up the camping issues in the dirt and the filth and the drugs.
I love this channel. As a former resident of southern California, it brings back memories. I spent a lot of time on the Venice and Santa Monica beaches. Venice boardwalk, Palisades park. Early morning runs on the beach. It makes me sad to see what is happening there. It's such a beautiful area. I hope they turn things around.
You have every right to record people in public…don’t let someone tell you to stop because it’s public interest and you may catch something important!
As a City of LA Retiree , I love watching these New guys do the Job I did for 30 years !!!
We’re living in a stinky tent. Sand in our underwear pass the bong
The dude is mad because they are messing with his stuff that he left unattended on a public beach .
LA welcome any and all? SO take them into YOUR HOMES!
Thanks for cleaning up the beach.
I'm sooooo glad I move from Venice! I lived there for 20 years and now there's dog poop and fleas on the beach! No thanks!
also human poop
I've worked for over 40 years and can't afford to live on the beach, quatters should not have it for free!!
😅
Good! Venice doesn’t need this homeless in a tourist area!
Hello Fabian, thank you for another episode! That poster in the beginning says Friday, July 12. Today is the 19th. Just an observation. I'm sure they must do this every Friday.
Keep up the good work I love it
Doing a great job city of Santa Monica. I support the police I support the Rangers. I support the cleanup crew 100%.

Finally some common sense being demonstrated!
Haven't seen Tom for awhile.
Daisy's on the run
He made an appearance a couple weeks ago. Moved out of the bathroom and onto the beach...
I wish Los Angeles Council put as much time and effort into making homes for the homeless
Why are homeless people kicked out here, but on Skid Row they live freely and even comfortably!?
I don't know if I would say they are living comfortably in Skid Row. People go to the beach for recreation many live there because they are near the beach. Tourists go to the beach, the Venice boardwalk, and the Santa Monica pier. I think they are trying to prevent the beach from becoming like skid row. Tourism = $
Skid Row was set aside by the City Council during the Great Depression, to centralize the big wave of homeless workers (mostly workers) moving to L.A.
Skid row might be next but the beach is way more important
"At the same time, housing assistance has reached the lowest point in 25 years. 653,104 people were considered homeless in 2023, or roughly 1 in 5,000 Americans, according to newly released data from the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD)." ...and it is just going to get worse as disparity grows, housing prices reach all time highs, "median U.S. home sale price soared to $397,954 in June". It will become a zero gain effort, as more and more resources are used to "remove" the homeless. The very economic structure creates the homeless... can't have a few winners without a vast amount of losers... that is the way the system works. So have fun at the futility, it won't get any better in this trajectory, it will just get worse. ...and what happened to our mental institutions that could house some of these homeless that just will never be a "productive worker"? ...thanks Reagan.
...but it will make the narcissistic and insecure sycophants feel better...
Oh wow
What I wanna know is where they get all these tents
Soylent GREEN! the scoops are coming!
The homeless problem is not going to go away. It's only good to get worse. We need to invest and solve this problem immediately. Quit kicking it down the road.
There's plenty of money from our fed that we can fix all this. If they would just try or they cared apparently our system right now does not care
Venice Beach will not be cluttered with sh*t anymore.
About time
Poor homeless people😭
May God keep them safe
