I participated in the original kickstarter for version 1 of this game. It was like Christmas and my birthday together when the huge box arrived. (Yeah, I went for the whole thing including the war crate.) Also participated in the version 2 kickstarter (basically an update with lots and lots of goodies for us version 1 folks.) Soooo, looking forward for when it ships!
Man your playthroughs are awesome! So clear, so well played and great video control to show what's going. Very comprehensive! Think this vid just wanted a large pan at the start to show the whole board, general layout and key cover/buildings / control points.
The unit pieces remind me of Micro Machines. It's a fairly flexible looking system, which means that if the game gets a decent community, I could totally see fan-made units from later eras becoming a thing.
Fantastic playthough! In solo mode, I believe you don't actually earn XP when dealing damage, only when fully killing AI units. At least that's what page 2 of the (updated) solo rules say: "Players only collect experience when killing an AI unit."
Around 16:58, AI moved into the building. They should not be able to leave the building during the same round (with that one extra CP) right? Or is the AI exempt from that?
Not sure if you still look back at comments. I notice you only spend 1 CP to move to the hex with the building and enter it. It was my understanding you spend 1 additional CP to enter the building. So a move4 to a hex would be 2 CP. I believe they had clarified that but maybe i am wrong.
I think it works really well in its current form, BUT you might want to wait for the 1.5 campaign later this year, because I expect that to be even better :)
Asides from the HoN system not having an official solo version, I wonder which system is people’s preference between hose two games? I have Heroes of Stalingrad and find it pretty fun but am tempted by the upcoming 1.5 Ks.
Hey great video. Just wondering if your fodder infantry unit was actually visible by the German mortar team. Or do they not need that in the solo mode?
If I have it right, their blue units simply need to be within 4 hexes. They always have LOS to any player units at that range, with or without a spotter.
Missed this and sort of relieved, I see elements of Tide of Iron and Heroes of Normandy with the Red Alert mechanism utilised by CoH. The Solo system is interesting and missed a big trick because the counters could have been generic for units with any stat modifiers and cross referenced with a nationality play aid to determine which units to play, probably easily house ruled. Personally will stick to HoN and my painted copy of TOI( yes a mad day with my son and a friend). Though would consider getting the solo system to be used with other games, though the Conflict of Heroes based LnLtactical solo aren't bad as a general system for squad and vehicle at company level, for individual level skirmish Hostile Tactical AI works. The game is just too abstract in a memoir way for me wargaming wise but seems ok as a game. The terrain would be cool for ToI.
@@OneStopCoopShop what it was the best Playthru I have seen yet I hope there will be more videos like this if you have The expansion you can use the ruins for destroyed buildings
We've always had a strong focus on both solo and co-op, and looking at the videos from the last two weeks or so, looks like 7 or 8 out of 10 are co-op games... so not sure what point you are trying to make here, sorry!
The ai can be used in the coop and competitive modes too, either as an ally or an enemy (or both). Works pretty much the same way so this video has you pretty much covered for coop too.

1:24 - Overview of Play
7:32 - Solo Playthrough
21:20 Calvary? :)
Maybe it's an assault of crucifixions?
Great job as usual! Ill have to watch this a few times. : ) My game (and expansions) are on the way ! Thanks again !
Excellent! Have fun :)

The new content looks great!

Yeah, that would have been a great idea. This board was so huge I was really struggling to give context to the fighting positions
Great video! I got a base game in a trade last week and will back some new content with Terrain Packs!
Nice! Hope you have fun with it :)

Good catch! Nice of them to throw that in a quick sentence at the bottom of the page and never mention it again, lol

I think at this point the entire game system has a 2.0 rulebook, so this is probably moot 😅
This worth getting into in its current state for primarily solo/co-op? Or is the limitation on AI not worth it?
I think it works really well in its current form, BUT you might want to wait for the 1.5 campaign later this year, because I expect that to be even better :)
@@OneStopCoopShop Any word though on an upgrade pack for those that did the original?
I haven’t heard any details, but I strongly assume there’ll be something

I still haven’t played any HoN games, though they look fun! I reached out to them and never heard back :(
They added a solo system in their latest KS (which should be shipping)

Agreed, if you want to dig in deeper to a wargame system the ones you mentioned are probably better
Anyone know if this will be available again or will I have to wait for retail?
They have another Kickstarter coming later this year. Not sure of an exact date.
There’s nothing wrong with you putting the plastic German pieces on the cardboard token if you want something more asthetically pleasing is there?
Nope, definitely not! :)
@@OneStopCoopShop Or upgrade the US forces to counters too :)
46.21 units cannot enter hex fields where a building was destroyed.
Ah, good catch, thanks!

21:19 “Calvary Assault”?! I’m guessing someone couldn’t spell cavalry. :)
Yeah, it’s one of the small errors they are trying to fix in the next KS, I assume :)
That, or this game is more Biblical than it first seems, lol
How can I get this game
The Kickstarter is still delivering, I believe. Not sure if it’ll be in retail, but there will definitely be a new Kickstarter later this year.
