I simply used my laptop with my odb port Bluetooth adapter to disable Auto Stop/Start via ForScan. Took 5 minutes, and no fiddling with wiring or modules.
Completed this mod on my Ford Maverick XLT with luxury package and no issues! Tried prying up just the buttons but there was no way that was going to work. Unscrewing and lifting up the center console is the only way, then you can get your hand in there to release the tabs on either side of the module. The linked aliexpress module worked great and looking closely at it, has all of the pins populated so I would presume this would work for any configuration/trim of truck. Thanks again for the tip and video; this is great! I like how it remembers on/off and I don't have to buy a $100 start stop eliminator.

Sorry it can only remember the preset for the auto start stop. I wish I could do both. At least I don’t have to keep pushing the button each time I start the vehicle for the auto start stop.
@@dawsfive If pulling apart the console is worth saving a few bucks, more power to you. Cross your fingers that it goes back together right without later rattling down the road. I opted for the 2 minute plug in.

Or you could just use Forscan to disable this among many other options.

Do you really think the $90 for the UBD port start/stop fix is “huge money” compared to this jerry rig?
So unplugging the OBD and plugging something else in is different how? And $90 is huge for some, but it is for others. Just saying...
