I flew from Frankfurt to Hong Kong and the other way around recently, economy class. TOP CLASS airlines, very pleasant flights. On time, food was very tasty and the overall experience fantastic. Thanks a lot Cathay!!
Great report, I'm off to HK in December with Cathay, currently debating between taking premium economy or business (couple hundred euro apart). What would you suggest?
If it's a long haul flight (over 6 hours as other person said), a couple hundred euros is a good price upgrading to lay-flat Business class. Normally there's $2k-3k roundtrip price difference between PremEcon and Biz for long haul flights.

Unfortunately not - PE uses the same lavatory as Economy.
Which toilets allow use？ 8:20
Hey - the toilets used by Premium Economy passengers are usually the forwardmost economy ones but all Economy lavatories are available for use.

Yep - our gate was originally E8 iirc, but was then changed to another.

Business if it’s longer then 6 hours
If budget is not a consideration, I suggest business. At the end of the trip, you would conclude the money is well spent !
