very nice. but the option "log file conversion" is greyed out at my installation and in the offline mode all the special ascii comments included in the blf are not logged by the logging block. so this solution does not work for me either. is there a simple (command line based? or stand alone?) program that does the job?

Hello Sir, is it possible to crop a log file, I have a log file where the key information occurs after 70 mins and anything before that is not useful data. I also tried data conversion tool but the cropped log file still holds the actual timestamps and doesn't start with 0 sec.

My CAN data is in clf format. So will I have to convert it to ASCI (asc format) prior to doing offline analysis work on CANoe?

Hi.. Do you mean .blf format? If it's blf, then offcourse you can directly do the Offline analysis, its not mandatory to convert into ASC file for analysis. The benefit of .asc file is, it is a readable format (which you can open in any notepad application to see it). But you cannot do the same with the .blf file (because it is an encrypted format).

You have the option to save the file automatically by incrementing the Log, you will find that option in the Log block..

Also, you can use the CAPL script to save the log in your preferred naming. Please check the CAPL In-built function for saving the Logs.

If you want to save the log in readable format, then you need to select it as .asc file. But you already have some other format like .blf which needs to be changed to .asc file, then please refer this video -> th-cam.com/video/zWChGrRyMs4/w-d-xo.html
