Enjoyed the short video about the install, but man did I really did the music overlay. In a positive way, it reminded me of watching a CSI episode during an intense lab scene.
I did add the Ford Performance axle back exhaust on my 2.3L manual and I love it. No drone and not too loud but it gives it character and even some pops on deceleration especially when cold. My 5 kids love it!
I've added exhausts to two cars; both were louder from the exterior, but both also droned, even though one of them had some kind of added chamber that was supposed to be tunable: it didn't correct the drone. Seems like your Magnaflow is a very good upgrade.
The more I research, the more I change my mind, and the more I keep coming back to the Bronco as the right one car solution (except for local dealer markups). I'd love to be able to drive down to the coast (I live in the Orlando area) and enjoy a convertible and the sun and the sea air. I'd also like the option of driving on the beach where it's allowed, and I'm not doing that with a Miata. In addition I'd like to go camping and tow a small trailer, but it would still need a good daily driver, which is where it will be used 6 days a week. I can only think of two vehicles that meet all of those criteria. If I'm missing any others, I'd truly love to know. 😎
Shouldn’t need a tune for either. I think the new motors are MAP sensor based so will adapt to any intake change. Since exhaust is post catalytic converter, shouldn’t need a tune for that either.
It really depends on your daily commute. At high speeds the interior is noisy. Where we live, it's all slow speed roads so wind noise isn't an issue. As for size, the 4 door is plenty roomy. I'd recommend getting the side step though. It's a big climb in for the youngins.
Love your reviews you always do a great job. I just don’t get why anyone would ever want to modify their exhaust though. It always makes the car louder, which seems to annoy everyone else (especially neighbors) except for the owner of the car. Exhaust modifications seem to be the biggest waste of money of all time. Super annoying sounds.
I think it does sound better and if you get one gifted I’m sure it’s awesome to put on an enjoy, but otherwise I think there plenty of better mods for a 4cyl Bronco you can get for nearly $1,100 that will be more impactful
Nicely stated. And I've got to agree. I'm not sure we would have ever thought to upgrade our exhaust but, for some folks, dropping $1,100 on an aftermarket exhaust for their rig is no big deal. Al that said, now that it's on, we really dig how the MagnaFlow sounds.
Maybe it's just me or my desktop speakers but there's something weird when a 5000lb SUV drives by and it sounds like a 1970"s British sports car. Yes I'm old.
Hi guys Back in the 1980’s I got to be around and see an SR71 fly out of Norton AFB that you were filming by. Ya Clinton shut that down as a military base in the 90’s as part of the democrats plan to destroy our country along with shutting down our industries like Kaiser Steel in Fontana that has been owned by the Chinese since the late 1980’s that my family and I worked at and by. Anyway nice video, but I didn’t hear anything about if it was still California legal for the emissions standards in the world,,,? Anyway it was good to see your Robinson in the hanger at least. Good vibes, video, sound, and content in your video. The Dems shut down the SR71 program to.
If there was ever a story about, "Reading between the lines?" This is clearly, IT!!!! lol But in the early 80s, we spent(At school) an entire few weeks talking about the SR71 Spy Plane. I was sooo fascinated, I went out an purchased a scale model kit. To this day, it's my favorite plane.
@@Kiss__Kiss Yep OhBadOne did away with the SR71 program. And BitMe / Let’s Go Brandon let a Chinese spy drone fly over exstreamly sensitive territories of our country and didn’t let our brave Air Force shoot it down until it’s mission was done.
@@Kiss__Kiss I know, but this set-up doesn't offer any technical improvement or really fix anything for that price. Audibly better but who cares in the end.
@@MrNicholg kinda the reason I’ve kept a stock exhaust on my F-150 5.0. They do sound amazing when uncorked but a thousand bucks just for some sound? For me I’ll pass on that for now, especially towing and road-tripping where increased volume isn’t always wanted.
@@MrNicholg "Catbacks" never add power. That would be the "downpipe" or the pipe(Exhaust pipe if you will), closest to the turbo. But I understand where you're coming from.
OMG I haven’t watched you guys for a while. Still the cutest family like EVERRRRR!!!

That's awesome. It's wild how much character comes from a good exhaust.
That’s awesome. Even I was wondering.. “Why”, but now I get it. Thanks Micah and Evie!!

I've had a droning exhaust before too. It sucks. Thankfully MagnaFlow has figured out the drone issue.
This is the review I’ve been looking for, thanks
Fantastic video guys!😸

this is super interesting and always fun with you two. thanks.
We appreciate you watching!
Sounds like it should have form the factory. Since, even though it's an off-road vehicle, it's also turbo, and sporty. Great Job!!
it's cool how you did the installation part a la edgar wright
Glad you are all happy with the new Magnaflow system. Happy driving!
Cheers!
Would this exhaust mod require an ECU-tune (like for when cold-intake required a tune)?
Shouldn’t need a tune for either. I think the new motors are MAP sensor based so will adapt to any intake change. Since exhaust is post catalytic converter, shouldn’t need a tune for that either.
Do they make Leveling kits for the Bronco?
Where can I get the 79 Bronco shirt you are wearing?
Can you do another long term review of the bronco?
What engine is in that, 2.3 or 2.7?
Either way it sounds really good.
Subtle improvement 👍🏼I’ve seen a front bumper mod w/ a winch for Bronco
Every once in a while I think a winch might be a wise upgrade.
Perfect exhaust for those of us of 40yrs of age🙂
Totally. The exhaust systems I had in my 20s would drive me insane now.
I see you guys added BFG K02’s. Did you review them and I missed it?.. 🤷♂️
Micah, would you recommend the Bronco as a daily driver and camping equipment hauler for a family with two young kids?

I’m waiting for them to call me next 🤞🏾😂😂
Does it void your warranty on the vehicle when you do that?
Only if it’s shown to cause an issue with whatever the warranty is covering.

Adding exhaust is for the sound . This is basically same as stock
How much?
Does this modification void the warranty? And what is the impact on fuel consumption?
Corsa all day
definitely sounds better, but worth the 1.1k price tag? Sadly no :(

It's taken me some time to adapt too. When Ford first introduced the 4-cylinder Mustang...it just sounded wrong.

FYI Norton was slated to be closed well before Clinton took office.

Just not worth the cash for this mod. Save for gas money.
1100 for a catback is not that bad. Some catback exhaust companies for my Audi range between $3k-4k Dollars.
The bronco is already not worth it

adding noise to the vehicle which already loud , what is the logic ,? waste of money .
If it ain't a V8, your wasting your money.
As someone who owns a 5.0, I could not disagree more. Love mine, but know the 4 cylinder Ecoboosts are also fantastic in their own right.
@@ALMX5DP They might be, but I wouldn't put an aftermarket exhaust on it.
Sound is definitely butterier and softer than the stock. Definitely a bit more relaxed... it's almost as if you leaned your seat back a notch or two.
