I sure hope that you make a sequel to this video. Because I'm sure their's more movies from the 90's you could've shown. Such as Beauty n the Beast and The Little Mermaid. Wait was The Little Mermaid debuted in the 90's. I don't quite remember.
FernGully: The Last Rainforest Batman Forever Small Soldiers The Indian in the Cuboard Loch Ness Jurassic Park Star Wars Episode 1 Batman: Mask of the Phantasm
The fact that Robin Williams takes up almost half of the top ten of this list really shows why his death affected so many of us '90s kids so deeply. He's still the first and only celebrity death to have ever made me cry.

Oh man! That one made me cry as a kid at the end. Tears of joy though. Every time Shadow would come over the hill and say "Peter. Oh Peter" Lost it as a kid! Love that movie!
Ace Ventura Pet Detective back in The 90's I could watch that a million times & never get tired of it. Jim Carrey is truly one of The Greatest Comedians.
Seeing Jim Carrey in the opening moments of this video almost made me not watch the video. I could not stand him then, and I still do no see the appeal. His only good movies were the Truman Show and Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. If I could erase his early films from existence and my memories of all of the worst, most bullying kids from my childhood constantly quoting him in Ace Ventura and the Mask, I would.
Being a 90s kid, this list means so much to me. A vast majority of these films I would watch CONSTANTLY growing up, and still watch every now and then to this day.
This list should have been longer and included Angels in the outfield, little giants, my girl, the Indian in the cupboard, homeward bound, flubber. All great 90's movies.

Robin Williams was such a huge part of the 90s, along with Jim Carrey. As well as Disney, in general. I have seen every single one of these movies growing up in the 90s and the funny part is that, there were so many other great movies that were not even included: Independence Day, Angels in the Outfield, Homeward Bound, Star Wars: Episode 1, The Little Rascals, etc just to name a few.

Glad to see Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles, Space Jam, A Goofy Movie, The Parent Trap, The Addams Family, Hook, Jumanji, The Mask, Matilda, Aladdin, Home Alone, The Lion King, Mrs Doubtfire, and Toy Story. Dude I am going to cry because I love and miss my childhood 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢😢
I miss the 90's alot. Those were my childhood years, but I miss it more so because of the entertaining TV shows. Movies from the 90's can still be re-watched. Most TV episodes from back then are over for good. Anyway, from this list I've seen The Lion King, Toy Story, Alladin, most of Home Alone, Matilda, A Goofy Movie, Space Jam and Parent Trap.
The 90's Addams Family movies certainly introduced the creepy, ooky and spooky clan to a modern audience. Christina Ricci will forever be THE Wednesday Addams.
I was lucky enough to have been able to watch Jurassic Park with my family the summer after 8th grade…before going off to high school…and after my Dad had already read the book. Honestly…such a special day in my youth.
I actually saw Aladdin twice in the movie theaters when I was a kid. Hands down the scene where Jafar gets wished into becoming the most powerful sorcerer in the world was the most memorable. To this day I still remember how scared n terrified it made me feel.
@@santiagopeck Oh okay. I was wondering what his first wish was. I know it had something to do with a snake appearing and turning into gold. Also, I think you mean the live action one. In the live action one, his last wish was to be the most powerful being.
can't hardly wait, billy madison, clueless, scream, i know what you did last summer, urban legend, go, pulp fiction, i still know what you did last summer, american pie, she's all that, ace ventura, varsity blues, frantic, the fugitive, the glimmer man, under siege 2, the crow, out for justice, marked for death, rush hour
Sandlot, Hook, Batman Returns, Home Alone, TMNT, Robin Hood, Mrs. Doubtfire, Kindergarten Cop, Heavyweights, and Billy Madison are a few I still never get tired of. Those 80s and 90s movies are so rewatchable. I just watched Uncle Buck last night and Three Men and Baby and Three Men and a Little Lady last weekend. The original Parent trap > Remake, one of my favorites as a kid.
Good list -- I accept even the ones I didn't see or catch onto because I wasn't a kid anymore (everything '95 and beyond) -- but those early 90s ones -- man. Pure elementary and middle school gold.
Here are some other honorable mentions : Beauty and the Beast, Independence Day, The Lost World Jurassic Park, Liar Liar, Titanic, Tarzan, Toy Story 2, Star Wars The Phantom Menace, James and the Giant Peach, Twister, and Godzilla 1998
Love Independence Day to this day. A favorite just like Armageddon. Titanic.. I still love this movie. I will still watch or read anything related to titanic to this day- was I obsessed with the movie and the actual historic tragedy- yes. I went to the Titanic Museum in Brandson and leaned even more and bought some educational books and a white star line shirt. And I did some digging on the passenger “identity” I was given. Liar Liar is just as much a classic Jim movie as The Mask. I may be in the minority when it comes to Statwars fans, but I actually enjoyed The Phantom Menace and love the Prequals, I love how you can later parallel Luke and Anakin and Leia and Padme. Twister.. that gave me nightmares and my parents thought I was gonna be a meteorologist because i became obsessed with the weather.. if it wasn’t a Maine Biologist because of Free Willy and Flipper. I also loved Air Bud.
The 1990s has had a plethora of our favorite movies we grew up or lived through. And just when I can list a mother load of my favorite collections, when waiting to see what could be number 1, YES!!!!!! Jurassic Park made it! Thank you Watchmojo!
It would be genuinely difficult to debate this list. But some of my favorites that missed the list would be. The Land Before Time Beethoven Mulan Homeward Bound Billy Madison
Fantastic list Robin Williams was the 90s lol I still can lost more great movies from him in the 90s and I also thought of Indian in the cupboard, small soldiers, Operation Dumbo, double dragon, and three ninjas
Jumanji puts me right back in that time, It makes me feel like I just popped the vhs tape in, my mom's in the kitchen making dinner, and my brother and I are about to watch one of the best 90s movies
Some of my favourites from when I was 11 and younger (not mentioned in the video) - Terminator 2 - The Crow - Seven - Silence of The Lambs - Robin Hood Prince of Thieves - Tremors - Back to the Future III - Beverly Hills Cop III - Lethel Weapon III - Nightmare before Christmas - Billy Madison - Tommy Boy - Demolition Man 🤔 No wonder I’m the way I am.
@@AYC_kaymer Its funny, I can actually remember the day we rented and watched Seven. A friend of my brother worked at the video store and I was in there with my dad and he asked him if it was any good, he said “it’s awesome, but the ending will make u want to punch a hole in the wall.” ….was a good sales pitch…
@@marki7661 that's brilliant. Yeah some of the video stores or even later dvd shops used to have at least one worker that really knew their stuff. It was fun to see what kind of things they would recommend to different people.
I was born in the late 90’s and I grew up with 2000’s movies but I did treasure the 90’s movies such as The Disney Renaissance, The Little Rascals and Hook
I still remember walking out of the theater from watching Hook. I felt like I could fly. It was the best move I had seen until then. I remember loving it so much.
This was the most I've ever agreed with a Mojo list! Born in 90, every single one of these was important to my childhood as well as my development in taste for good movies. At number 2, I was like, "what could possibly be #1? Oh! There's only one possible choice!" And Jurassic Park it was... could it really have been anything else??
Honorable Mentions: Richie Rich, The Pagemaster, The Indian in the Cupboard, Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, Scooby-Doo and the Cyberchase, Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invadiers, The Pebble and the Penguin, A Troll in Central Park, Small Soldiers, Snow Day, Homeward Bound and Liar Liar.
The nostalgia cord has been struck…and it could be heard to the heavens. This list just reaffirms that the 90s was a great time to be alive. And movies today just don’t come close to the meaning, music, and joy that movie brought in the 90s.
SO many of the ones in the list are my faves! But also FernGully (1992), Homeward Bound (1993), and The Land Before Time series (first one is in 1988 but they spanned throughout the decades) definitely deserve to be on here!!

I actually saw Aladdin twice in the movie theaters when I was a kid. Hands down the scene where Jafar gets wished into becoming the most powerful sorcerer in the world was the most memorable. To this day I still remember how scared n terrified it made me feel.
In the animated Aladdin, he wished to be a Genie. But in the live action one, he did wish to be the most powerful sorcerer.
@@mojo3318---I remember that
@@mojo3318 it was his second wish, after asking to be the sultan and before asking to be the most powerful genie.
@@santiagopeck Oh okay. I was wondering what his first wish was. I know it had something to do with a snake appearing and turning into gold. Also, I think you mean the live action one. In the live action one, his last wish was to be the most powerful being.
The “Mighty Morphin Power Rangers Movie” should’ve been an Honorable Mention bc that too was nostalgic for kids who loved the Power Rangers
Beat me to it. ❤️🩷💛🖤💙(🤍💚)
And you watch it today and the CGI is horrendous.
@@shenran9164 ah, phooey
Ugh 40 now but get to share these greats with my young kids 😎
Robin William was a legend in Jumanji and Hook films.
I've seen them, but didn't know who Robin Williams was at the time.
As a 90s kid I have seen each of these movies hundreds of times and I would watch them hundreds more! ❤
Saw Space Jam on VHS when it came out. I didn't mind waiting until it came out.
I watched it on DVD as a teen. And I was at school🏫 at the time.
@@mojo3318---Awesome
What? No Flubber with Robin Williams.? 😂 good list.
Two eras you can't touch are 80s action films and 90s kids movies💯
can't hardly wait, billy madison, clueless, scream, i know what you did last summer, urban legend, go, pulp fiction, i still know what you did last summer, american pie, she's all that, ace ventura, varsity blues, frantic, the fugitive, the glimmer man, under siege 2, the crow, out for justice, marked for death, rush hour
Fun Fact: Dante Bosco who played Rufio in the movie "Hook" would eventually go on to voice Zuko in the cartoon series "Avatar: The Last Airbender."
Not to mention being the voice of Jake Long in American Dragon: Jake Long on Disney Channel.
@@devingiles6597---I've seen the series. It wasn't bad.
Crazy how iconic Hocus Pocus has since become.
Many films of the list a like, but this movie to Problem Child, Curly Sue, Radio Flyer, a bronx´s tale, Rookie of the Year among other
Good list -- I accept even the ones I didn't see or catch onto because I wasn't a kid anymore (everything '95 and beyond) -- but those early 90s ones -- man.
Only the kids that ate paste and were held back multiple times like the Phantom Menace or 98 Godzilla.
This single Watchmojo clip defined my childhood in the 90’s to a T
video 's for me! 🤩 Jurassic Park 's the best childhood memory with my family!
That's awesome!
These films from the 90's are all hits, gonna rewatch 😍💪
The 1990s has had a plethora of our favorite movies we grew up or lived through. And just when I can list a mother load of my favorite collections, when waiting to see what could be number 1, YES!!!!!! Jurassic Park made it! Thank you Watchmojo!
one of the best parts of Hook is when Toodles got his marbles back
I don't remember that or who Toodles is. It's been so long since I've seen it.
I love what we first meet him crawling on the floor. When he says, "I've lost my marbles". That cracks me up every time
RIP Robin Williams!!!!!! Thank you so much for making our childhood so memorable ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ We still love you and miss you terribly 😢
Great list! What a great time to be a kid! I would also like to add Tarzan, Neverending Story and The Pagemaster.
18:39 YES!!!! You totally hit the nail on the head there!
It would be genuinely difficult to debate this list. But some of my favorites that missed the list would be.
The Land Before Time
Beethoven
Mulan
Homeward Bound
Billy Madison
Fantastic list Robin Williams was the 90s lol I still can lost more great movies from him in the 90s and I also thought of Indian in the cupboard, small soldiers, Operation Dumbo, double dragon, and three ninjas
You guys NAILED this list
Jumanji puts me right back in that time, It makes me feel like I just popped the vhs tape in, my mom's in the kitchen making dinner, and my brother and I are about to watch one of the best 90s movies
Some of my favourites from when I was 11 and younger (not mentioned in the video)
- Terminator 2
- The Crow
- Seven
- Silence of The Lambs
- Robin Hood Prince of Thieves
- Tremors
- Back to the Future III
- Beverly Hills Cop III
- Lethel Weapon III
- Nightmare before Christmas
- Billy Madison
- Tommy Boy
- Demolition Man
🤔 No wonder I’m the way I am.
I also watched most of these as a kid but, i'm glad to say i left "seven" until i grew up. That would have been too much for me back then.
As a 90's kid, this was our movie list. We burned out these movies VHS tapes.
I was born in the late 90’s and I grew up with 2000’s movies but I did treasure the 90’s movies such as The Disney Renaissance, The Little Rascals and Hook
I love one of my favorite 90s movies I watched as a kid on vhs, DvDs, and the tv.💖
You listed all my VHS collection 🤣
That number 1 is the best 90" movie of them all. I really loved it and still do.
Phenomenal List!
I Loved That!
I might be born in the 90’s but I didn’t watch movies until the 2000’s. I will say I did treasure 90’s movies in my heart such as The Iron Giant
As someone born in 93 I can confirm I watched all of these a lot.. This brings back so many good nostalgic vibes.
As a 90s kid, some parts of this video brought tears to my eyes ❤
Honorable Mentions: Richie Rich, The Pagemaster, The Indian in the Cupboard, Scooby-Doo on Zombie Island, Scooby-Doo and the Cyberchase, Scooby-Doo and the Alien Invadiers, The Pebble and the Penguin, A Troll in Central Park, Small Soldiers, Snow Day, Homeward Bound and Liar Liar.
i still have 10 out of 20 of these movies on vhs
The nostalgia cord has been struck…and it could be heard to the heavens. This list just reaffirms that the 90s was a great time to be alive. And movies today just don’t come close to the meaning, music, and joy that movie brought in the 90s.
big fan of all the movies in this list

Excellent list!!👍🏽 Love them all❤️✨
I also remember loving “Trading Mom”
Sissy Spacek was amazing in that film, as the many different moms.
Also (although a little sad) “My Girl”
And of course, Sister Act 1 and 2
