This week’s question for ‘Wrong Answers Only’ 👇🏽 “What did Ruben Amorim say to his wife when he got home after his first game in charge?” Winner and runner-up will be read out at the end of the next show!
" I have made a terrible mistake...now I know what Alexis Sanchez felt when he wanted to leave after one training session. Don't worry, you don't have to ask..I'll sleep on the sofa tonight...and until these players get me sacked"
Really great to see you back, especially when that's coupled with the return of Odegaard and a win! I've been saying for two years now, when we manage to win the League (or the CL, whichever comes first), I'll buy my first Arsenal shirt and I'll have it be the Odegaard one. I really liked him when he first joined and I loved seeing him rising through the ranks and become a leader I can get behind. Hope he manages to lift trophies with us.
Nice to see you’re back, glad to see you took time for yourself to see friends and family. Crazy that football can run that deep, feel like this last couple of weeks there’s been a little cloud following me around. And I don’t think I’m the only one. Was an absolute joy to see the team playing with some flair and style again. Don’t know about your Liverpool supporting friend but mines getting wayyyy too big for his boots right now. Cant wait for the inevitable crash, bad luck and decisions to go against them… watch them loose their head with the downfall.
Haha some of them definitely are, but who knows - they might be right! We can only wait and see! Hope you’re keeping well sir, and I hear you about the little cloud. Arsenal ay! 👊🏽
Yeah I make that point in this video, but it at least is a sign that we aren’t done and dusted just yet. A drab performance / dropped points would’ve been the nail in the coffin in my view.
Great video bro I felt like this win on sat just gone Will boost us confidence going into sporting I’m shocked way Forest played great performance I still think we are out title race I think the race was over when we drew Liverpool
I think all we can ask for now is confidence, momentum and doing our ability justice. The rest is beyond our control with results elsewhere, but with over 2/3 of the PL season remaining, we’ve seen stranger things happen!
I think everyone looks better with Martin because he often doesn't need a triangle to progress the ball. He either leverages his body or does a cheeky dribble and he beats players, and makes it look easy. What's extra impressive is that he does it in the prem. Trossard has looked good from time to time in midfield with his dribbling but I think it's been against less physical sides. Ethan btw has this quality in different way. Ethan's turn and go is honestly Messi-like, as is his acceleration. Although Ethan has a long way to go to develop into a well rounded 10 like Martin.
You last sentence echoes my sentiment regarding Ethan as I think his natural inclination is to want to score while Odegaard wants to be more controlling.
Big up Sheroy. Glad you took a step away from the content. I think the break definitely helps detox. But definitely glad for the return of content. I'm actually intrigued by Partey this season. I would try and let him go in January, whilst he is in form and injury free. I'd like your take on whether we should experiment with Rice in the 6, Nwaneri as the 8, Odegaard at the 10, then Martinelli, Kai and Saka up top.
Bro I cannot thank you enough for the support, sincerely means so much! You know what, I don’t think it was the last Goonerverse Podcast, maybe the one before the Chelsea game in fact, James and I were discussing EXACTLY that! There really must be certain opponents where Ethan and Odegaard can play together, City used to do it ALL the time with a 6 that they trust. Hope you’re keeping well my brother, much love to you and the family 🙏🏽
@SheroysVoice need to support the content that are genuine but also knowledgeable at the same time. It's just something different tgst we need to evolve and not stay the same. Plus with the players we have tracking back we won't be left wanting on the counter. All good my brother. Another day to keep moving. Much love 🙏
Great content as always Sheroy. Happy to see the channel growing some of us waited a long time to see some activity around here 😅 In a more serious note, same as a lot fans, I've disconnected a bit since the Bournemouth and Newcastle loss. I guess some of us need more than just wishful thinking and this type of performance is a good step in the right direction. Hopefully we can go on a run and progressively rebuild some confidence as a club. Keep up the good work on the road to 5k.
I agree man, we needed something to show it isn’t just blind faith, no matter how small! Thank you for the kind words my friend, hope to see you back here soon! 👊🏽
Yeah I hear you - but people could quite easily say that Pep has won majors with squads before Rodri’s time. Thought it was an interesting question, not sure I’m convinced but a decent discussion point!
First time viewer, loving the content. Personally I do think odegard is more important than arteta. If you said odegard goes and we keep arteta or zidane comes in tomorrowe and odegard stays. Brudda say less. For me for two seasons this team has shown me league winning capability. We have been in a positon to win the league and lost out. Which is different from being in a position of chasing all the time. Upon the platform of those winning teams arteta has demonstrated an inability arm himself with the correct weapons (no striker, no natural left side eight, no attacking midfield, no serious winger) nor a reliable means of delivering victory WITHOUT odegard
@@SheroysVoice (I don't think the performance was broadly different Leicester or Soton, we just didn't concede dodgy goals so it looked more comfortable) Without Saka cheating xG and changing the gamestate with the opener, who knows how the game looks. Our xG was 1.5 across the 90? Hard to say we were creatively any better.
I think it’s a bit of both regarding Arteta and Ødegaard, a manager can only do so much and along with all his talent Ø is also the manager on the pitch, however I don’t think Ødegaard is as effective without a proper coach like Arteta, you can also argue Arteta’s developed Ø to this level he’s on
That’s where I’m leaning with it too in all honesty, he has markedly improved since his arrival. Then again, he was good enough for RMD to want him as a teenager!
Only time will tell indeed… maybe it’s just because I respect the guy, but I do still have faith in Arteta and I know a lot of people think that’s insane!
He definitely isn't the man to take us to major titles. He doesn't see the need for a top striker who will bang in goals despite the strength of the opposition's defense. He didn't see the NEED to sign Gyokeres in the summer and now we are struggling to win matches because Kai Havertz and Martinelli can't score for sh*t! Arteta is a joker and he needs to go so a real manager with AMBITION can come in. Thankfully Edu left and hopefully will be replaced by someone COMPETENT!
@ because of the incompetence that is the arsenal corporates and their board members, if they had this team right now we would be trying to win our 3rd prem in a row right now, but oh no arsenal are backing the 100/1 😂
There have been many managers better than half decent in this league that haven’t won the PL since Arteta joined though, having inherited far better squads etc. so I’m not sure it’s that clear cut… just my opinion though!
@@shaaammm How ironic 'If they had this team'. Who was the manager who assembled this team? So a manager can jump on and win the league and get all the plaudits but when Arteta wins a trophy in 6months with Emerys crap he gets no credit?

Probably should’ve rented a house instead of getting a mortgage.

Bro starting beef with this title
Ha, it was a question asked to me by a Liverpool fan!

Well said Sheroy.
Thank you very much sir! Hope all is well with you! 🙏🏽
Love the little pauses after your questions…I find myself answering them to myself 😂🤦🏽♂️ stay blessed bro!
It’s probably because I’m thinking about the answer myself 🤣 - hope all is well with you and the family my guy 👊🏽
Big up sheroy. This hopefully was the first win in a long streak.
I hope so too my friend! Hope you’re keeping well at your end 👊🏽

The fact we change the whole style of play, system & approach when a singular cog is missing- is a sign we're not in a position to win majors
I hear you, very difficult to argue against that too.
one home win does not change everything

Agree that Trossard does struggle on the half turn when he’s getting out-muscled, we’ve seen it quite a few times now in fact.

Saka dribbles halfway across the pitch and smashes it in and Odegaard is getting rimmed. Incredible.

Absolutely, trying to strike that balance here 🤣
Did Saka have his 9th assist against Forest? I think he did, that's a very good representation of consistency!
Oh yeah of course, I meant year after year with the goals that Salah gets, absolutely no criticism of his game to game consistency!

to deserve you have to win big stuff, and we are far from it.
Where have you been my man the title is a little exaggerated any way well come.
Ha, just a question I was asked - not a conclusive statement! Hope you’re keeping well my friend 👊🏽
Hey, oooooh behave🤣🤣🤣🤣
Arteta is an arrogant, incompetent clown.
He replaced Aubameyang with Nketiah and then sold Nketiah; make it make sense.
😂😂😂😂😂😂
Some may say he replaced him with Jesus who in turn did assist with mounting that first and totally unexpected title challenge though…
Of course 😂if we had half a decent manager with experience arsenal would have won the league by now
Wenger & Emery were half decent and had experience and both failed.
