Great video. Very useful. If you accept feedback, i would make the music a bit more quite and the more important thing is the name of the video. For more views i would suggest you to put "XML and CSV file" in the name of the video. I think this would help for sure.
Thanks Jasen, I'm always grateful for constructive feedback such as yours so thank you very much! The sound has since been toned down a notch. Then also currently I'm not making videos (on a break currently) but am certainly getting back to it soon and will be re-looking the headings and general info about the older videos and new ones going forward. So I will happily take your advice there - Thanks again for the feedback and all the best!
@@Easy-Instructables I have one question. By any chance, if you dont happen to understand it well, please contact me. Let me describe it, Any changes made directly to the .xml file would effect the woo store. But what happens in the opposite way? Will data in the file be changed, for example, if a customer would buy something from the website?
@ Web Design Hub, this is really a great video👍👍👍. Please when you say you have "already prepared a CSV file", how exactly did you do it? That was the only part of the video that I did not understand.
Hi Tony, my apologies for the late response - Been away for a few weeks. The CSV file was simply an export from another WooCommerce Ecommerce store. Basically what you would find if you clicked on "Products" and click on "Export" - Hope that answers your question, let me know.
Hi Teque - Don't worry, I've noted this issue a while back and my future videos will have the sound sorted out. Thanks for the kind words and have a great day!
my web developer has imported products Via a CSV file but many products inside the csv does not have any pictures so wordpress goes and adds it into trash. is there a work around for this? its very frustrating having to go look for photos somewhere else and adding it to each product in trash then moving it to my other active products. any faster solution?
Hi Marc, are you using the method in this video? Just a quick tip would be to add the default placeholder picture. I'm not quite sure why your products go to the bin however, that doesn't sound right, I'd also need more info to know why but as a quick workaround, I'd simply add the default Woocommerce Placeholder PNG Photo to the missing photos on the CSV file. That placeholder file is called: "woocommerce-placeholder.png" - So for example, just go to your media folder in the backend, find the file and add the exact URL to each product with a missing picture. For reference, the URL should look something like this: yourwebsite.com/wp-content/uploads/2019/04/woocommerce-placeholder.png Your web developer should also know what to do in this case, again, your products going straight to the bin doesn't make much sense, hence why Woocommerce includes that Placeholder image, which is exactly for displaying products without images so let's hope all is working as it should. Let me know and all the best. Kind Regards.
HI, great tutorial. I have problem with image :( My code not is in table like you but in code. My image code is: 1 moxedo_Files/Foto/1_1617_usb_wifi_1.jpg I set in IMAGE tab: but it don't find photo....why? Where i wrong?
Thank you very much - The problem with that image is it's location. You would have to add it to a cloud account. For example, your website domain, Dropbox or any cloud storage location so that function can go fetch the image. yourwebsite.com/files/image.jpg - Let me know if this makes sense, if not I'll refine my response to make it easier to understand. All the best and thanks for watching
