This was fun, I was into the Tonka trucks and tractors when I was younger. I got a Barbie one year for Xmas and I cried because I wanted the new Tonka dump truck. I also had a lot of Sesame street stuff and can't forget Puff the magic dragon either, I loved him. Thanks for letting me tag along and you have a great day and safe travels
I call my local GoodWill "Ill Will" for good reason. They refuse to stock the store. Even the mens' shirts, regular shirts, are often as much bare rack as clothing. Anything a reseller would want gets sent online to be priced at close to retail. No jewelry in stores anywhere. Anything old comes in damaged. Once in a while they get a mistake, but even the common dinnerware isn't there lately - the new stuff. No video games. Anything they do get is overpriced - I saw a pair of used jeans for $12 last week, and not a good brand. It's better elsewhere. RE Trains O-gauge "larger" than what kids played with? I helped my dad run pre-WWII Standard-gauge. They were almost too big to run in the house!
Wild George, what are terrific find in the Glass where There was so much neat stuff to look at. You'd have to be there for dates. You found it though you're a good spotter. Love the Texaco head on you, ha ha. Way to go wild George, you crack me up.😂😂😂
This was so much fun to watch & reminisce! I had an aunt & uncle that were still living with my grandparents when I was young & saw many things they were interested in. The trains….I’ve shared before that my Pop Pop worked for B&O so trains were always a part of my life & still hold a place in my heart! Thank you George!❤
I used to have a large collection of cartoon glasses. I don’t remember what I did with them. They were well used when my daughter was little. I loved looking through the toys. Thanks George!
George, Love all your videos. Your knowledge of so many different types of things is amazing. I am impressed that you know so much about trains & railroading, especially the B&O & Chessie System. I mentioned to you once before that I am 5th generation B&O. I worked at the historical Grand Central Station, in Chicago. It was an interesting place to work - all the history there. I collect B&O Dining Car Dinnerware & anything Chessie. (Bought a plate from you.) On another note, when you are looking at toy cars, please keep an eye out for a 1974-1975 Marx Pit Change Charge Kit. Would love to get one for my son. Thanks, George.
Good evening, George! The antique shop looks MUCH more appealing than those GW bins! I liked the Roadrunner & Wile E. Coyote glasses. The old board games were interesting. I have a few - Dana Girls, Nancy Drew, Hardy Boys, Dark Shadows, Barnabas Collins, Rin Tin Tin, Battleship, etc. There were a lot of old toys there I liked. That would be a fun place to shop. Thanks for the take-along!
That was really really fun..so glad you found stuff. Would love to look at so much there...loved the cars and trucks and kitchens...and Barbie stuff...would be fun to see the newer Barbie stuff prices and would love to find an old Barbie place...the market did get glutted with all the new stuff but i still love my ole Barbies and some of the new stuff that came out when I got into her again until I was 35...
Some of them are of value, even more recent Barbies...but you have to study the market and pick/choose. I would've spent more time on prices but there was so much there I couldn't really do it all
Sorry I missed you George, as that is my booth in the Antique Toy Mall with the Ceramic X-Mas Tree from 1972 and the rock albums in the background at the 11:07 min. mark. Would have loved to have ran into you!
When I go to the bins I never rush the new carts because no one wants what I want either! When the crowd subsides there are better things left behind, assuming they aren't broken.
I love vintage toys! Cars trucks Barbies..that train set up was epic! Not really a fan of glass tho I appreciate it's color and beauty. Glad George got buys! He'll make a profit..yay. best wishes always Safe travels. Like your content..like it when find PCs u have nev seen .u r learning too!wishing you success in all u buy to resell . I'm a reseller too but not on your level.. Oct wasn't great. But keep on keepin' on Love the hunt. Makes the day great!
I have been to a couple of the Indy Bins and they are busier but don’t remember seeing toys and antiques there either. My guess is don’t make it that far. They probably sell in the original stores. I am close to Louisville but haven’t been there yet so glad you reviewed this store. There is a small antique shop near me that I wonder if you have ever been there. It’s called Useful Things. They do a lot of furniture but also have a lot of glass and smalls. Didn’t know if you had ever been there ? There have been several antique places closed in the last couple of years that had been around for years.
Hi George, I have on display at home tall and medium and small sets of those car barware glasses, they were my Aunts, and as kids were not allowed to use them. Hehe, from Largo.
My beef with Goodwill industries is that when a person is given a voucher for an amount of items, if it is over, they make them put something back. My problem is these things are donated and do not belong to the workers, if a person needs something, they should be able to get whatever the person needs. That is why I do not shop Goodwill.
The Salvation Army in my town also does this. When they give out vouchers it's for specific items , not a dollar amount. Ex. 2 boys jeans, 3 girls shirts, ...
It can't work that way I wish it could be that people were honest enough to only take what they needed but you would have people acting poor to get free items then resell them or just keep them. I've volunteered at food banks shelter ands thrifts since I was in cub scouts and its always been this way
@Danielmorris7648 Thank you for that explanation. We saw during tornado relief in our town that a few people (not from in town) kept coming back to line their pockets rather than because they needed the stuff, and they had to be told to stop taking.
I've known many people who have got into thrifting too many to count Goodwills their favorite. What's not so good will is every time they bring bed bugs home from there can't count the times😢
I learned the hard way, don't touch the linens directly (use gloves) and don't hold them against your clothing, use plastic bags and wash thoroughly before integrating into your home
Hey George! This is random but you had a video in the last few months that featured a crazy piece of blue mountain pottery with an orange glaze do you happen not remember the title of that by chance before I do a deep dive into rewatching if not it will be great to brush up on my knowledge either way win
It would be fun to see a recap of your "haul of the day" and what you ended up buying. I realize you're looking for things to sell at shows, as opposed to people like Tiffany of Thrifting Vegas, who are looking to sell their items immediately online.
It's amazing how an object will spark memories. That weight-watchers hat made me remember how the British Press relentlessly body-shamed Sarah Ferguson because she wasn't as thin as Diana. Who we now know had an eating disorder. She's done some dodgy stuff herself but what they did to her in the tabloids during her marriage was criminal.
Agreed on all points! Diana and she both had a lot of trouble in that family, I don't think they really were ready for "outsiders" and I'm sure some of her dodgy behavior was a reaction to feeling trapped.
4:30 THIS IS THE REASON I cannot shop at these "Antique Malls" . $70.00 on the "Lee" print is nothing short of belligerent and ignorant . It is almost an act of aggression to the perspective buyer--and it would make me walk past the rest of his or her booth. They fully KNOW this is not worth even HALF this price . Lee framed prints - along with "GiG' are the MOST COMMON of the "big eye" niche. I had a HUGE collection of "big eye" prints and such in the early 1990s - a little bit before they shot up in value. Back then you could get a LARGE KEANE for $20.00 to $40.00 . Had this "Lee" been at a flea market - it would be priced under $10.00 (WAY under $10.00) . I see this practice all the time and not only is it OFFENSIVE - the next time I'm in there - I will completely SKIP OVER that booth - no matter WHAT is on display. Lastly, the "Lee" prints are the least attractive of the bunch. By FAR.
You're absolutely right about the Lee prints not being anything close to Keane in value or collector interest, it was too much to ask by quite a bit. But It really depends on the booth and the dealer, I got a great deal ($5 for a $75 item) a few booths over, so that's the reason I can and do shop at these antique malls!
The clearance/bin stores are just clearance of items that didnt sell at their regular stores (even after the items last day at store being $2 or 50% off) so what goes to the clearance store is stuff no one wants for the most part. I have seen many antique and vintage items at their regular stores so maybe don't judge them by their clearance centers...
Agreed, I find things at some Goodwills and sometimes they're really fun to shop! The bins occasionally have a good old piece but they're mostly gone by the time they get to that level
Don't you remember the Duchess of York advertising for Weight Watchers and she got fatter and they called her The Duchess of pork. that was the big joke during that time😂
That Goodwill "2nd Chance" outlet is horrible. They actually have a roped off area where you have to pay to go in where you can look through the vintage clothes on a conveyor belt before the rest of the store gets to look at them
I don't often, honestly they don't get my best when I do, it happens on occasion when they're the only option somewhere I am but I like to support local thrifts when possible
Can’t believe I missed a chance to catch George at my local bins!! What a celebrity sighting that would have been ❤!
I'll have to get back there sometime!
Hi George I'm waiting patiently
Hi George good video
So glad the Lamp Lady sent me. HUGE respect from Wyandotte Michigan.
Me too! Welcome to the channel and we'll have fun together!

My niece had Barbies foisted upon her, and she really wanted cars, so I got her the Barbie car and it was the only thing she played with all day!
I came back. 😊 Very cool toys, thank you for teaching us about them today.
I loved this video of the toy store!!! I collect children’s dishes, cabinets, and toys!! I was soaking up everything you were showing!!! Thank you!!
I'm so glad! I think toys and doll stuff are really fun and a lot of people have nostalgia for them
I learned about George fron Jeffery Thomason of Real Nifty Vintage 😊
What a great setup for kids to see the trains running.
That made me happy too!
Thanks George!
LOVE the green Blenko! Great find.
Me too!
I enjoyed watching your interview on “The Heart of Ohio” channel. It was so nice to see 2 of my ‘teachers on the ground’ together
Wasn't that fun? There's a live with us on Crazy Lamp Lady you might also enjoy

The car career, with the Cadillacs !❤

Neat! Mine worked for Rock Island and the Rio Grande
George, you find the best stores to shop at. Thanks for sharing ❤
Thank you, George; this was a fun, nostalgic trip!
I love thrifting but I cannot dig through bins. I would need a Hazmat suit.
i never do bins at goodwill, i stick to the stores. i find some gems every so often.
I just watched you on the Heart of Ohio…great video both there and here.😊
South Louisville Toy and Antique Mall is my husband’s favorite. We have to go every time we travel to Burlington or Springfield for the markets.
I can see why! It hits a certain range of collectors right on
I used to have a large collection of cartoon glasses. I don’t remember what I did with them. They were well used when my daughter was little. I loved looking through the toys. Thanks George!
Yes, I loved them as a kid too!

The Flintstone set was cool!
George, you're the hardest working reseller so, IMHO, you deserve to find $2.50 Blenko!
I love you George❤
Aww thank you! I appreciate that
I’ve never seen that Blenko pattern outside the catalogue George. What an exciting find!
It really was! I don't see that piece much either.
Hi All, fun to join you. I subscribed a few days ago 😊

I agree, after seeing that I was happy I stood back

Wow great find! I’ll definitely have to check that place out.
I live in Cincinnati and the bins location in Louisville is my absolute favorite!!!!
my daughter has lived across the street from triple xxx for the last three years.
Have never seen that, George. Don't think we have bins here in coastal SC.
Love the “pose” with your best friend! Lol
Lol yes
Hi George. Hello all😊
Thanks for sharing! Love the Blenko! 💚
Hi George, I have on display at home tall and medium and small sets of those car barware glasses, they were my Aunts, and as kids were not allowed to use them. Hehe, from Largo.
Fun glasses, but I'm sure they were off limits! Nice to see you, I'll be down there soon
Nice glass! My mom has train pieces & models. Good to see someone may want them.

What an interesting place.
I feel like you have to dig at the bins… don’t find a lot of vintage but get lucky on occasion … haven’t been in a long time…
Great video George! Thanks for sharing!
My friend's cat is Gizmo too!
Great find on the Blenko. 😊
One of the license plates is 63 & Daviess County. I was born in 63 in Daviess County!!
That's cool! Xeno who does my tech went to Daviess County High
Hi George and friends 🌸
What a fun show. I really enjoy looking at old toys. This video was a nice change-up from the usual antiques -- which I love too. Thanks George.
I’ll be looking for different places to shop now thanks George
Think beyond the ordinary! I imagine I've sourced in at least 3 dozen different kinds of shops, stores, sales and other venues over my career
Great video! Love this collectibles segment though you don’t see much on ocean liners while shopping in person anymore.
Very true! I rarely see old ship related pieces now.
Would be interesting to see how the hat will do on eBay.
Just realized you live or were raised so close to Paradise!!!!
DON'T LIKE THE STORES , BUT LOVE THE WAREHOUSE AND BINS. FOUND VINTAGE AND ANTIQUES WORTH $$$$$$$$$$$$.
Nice score for $2.50 !
don't know if you will read this. there a small town GlennDale is going away for a new highway. there is alot of shops there
You mean in Kentucky?

Hmm that was in Columbia, Pennsylvania! Check that out in my Pennsylvania Playlist, you can sort by town I think because I tag them
You think those bins are busy? George, let me take u to the Nashville bins😂😂
I'd like to see that!
Trains are elaborate, wow.
Love the green Blenko; great find...and for only $2.50! SOLD!!! 😊
Right?! So fortunate!
It would be fun to see a recap of your "haul of the day" and what you ended up buying. I realize you're looking for things to sell at shows, as opposed to people like Tiffany of Thrifting Vegas, who are looking to sell their items immediately online.
I'll try to do that sometime! I do some haul videos, and I will be doing a lot of online sales over the holidays, so we'll show more
Is tonight the live chat? Can't find it

George at the goodwill bins: "hello! welp I'm outta here"
I just didn't see one vintage item, and that's what I do! Sometimes they appear in the bins but not that day

Score on Blenko.

Just watching videos at those bins, makes me cringe. The disarray, the lunging, grabbing, running.......nope. no thank u.
I had the same sense of it
Please please please the next time you come to Seattle let me follow you around and take notes!! I will restock your booth and dust everything! 🫶🏼😜
