    This is one of the few videos from Adam I disagree with. Chinese stocks are at extreme lows and everyone is calling China "uninvestable". This has been going on for years now to the point where even someone like Adam is exhausted and decided to get out of China. So, where are the sellers now? There are none. In this kind of sentiment, research and time has shown over and over again that as soon as there is even a slight shift in sentiment, this kind of undervalued sector, or market in this case, will start going up like crazy because it's so oversold. Research has also shown time and time again, investing in oversold, undervalued stocks such as Chinese stocks now, have shown outsized gains. I recently doubled down on Chinese stocks. Makes up 10% of my portfolio now. The risk to reward ratio at this point is too attractive, and no bet in the stock market is without risk. In poker terms, there's no way I would fold my hand on odds such as this. I might lose, but that's the name of the game.

      China has insanely bad sentiment with America. And for that reason yes, value investing would determine that sentiment is temporary. But two huge reasons I agree with Adam are
      1: Alibaba has had a lot of issues with China, these issues were often resolved due to China understanding that for the moment, Alibaba, helped with the economy of China. But with these restrictions on Tencent, another powerhouse of Chinese economy, it begs to wonder if China still feels the same way.
      2:Alibaba doesn't have the enormous moat it once had, TikTok, is now on the rise with e-commerce. If you have ever opened TikTok you will realize that they are a competitor you do not want to have.

    I have long exited Chinese stocks in 2021 August, for a lost of ~10-15% of my portfolio, for the same reason mentioned in the video by Adam. After CCP hammered tech, education and properties and introduced its "common prosperity" goal in Aug 2021, I already felt the risk and no longer willing to park my hard-earned money in China stocks. The government has suffered big financial lost after implementing its "zero covid" policy, and it has been finding means of digging money from its people, of course then the lucrative businesses are its best channel to squeeze the money it needs to ensure it can continue to uphold political power.

    • @wwandd2161
      @wwandd2161 5 หลายเดือนก่อน +6

      And to add on, I am unwilling to hold any Hong Kong currency, isn't it obvious that CCP is doing all it can to shift the effect of HK market to Sheng Zhen, Shang Hai and Bei Jing? It will rather kill Hong Kong to losing its political power... to CCP Hong Kong is just a (rebellious) city among the many in the country. Mark my words, I believe HK currency will be replaced by RMB in one day. That's also the ultimate aim of CCP as they want to hammer down the significant of the HK and shift all its beauty to other cities where people are more "obeying".

    I agree on the risk factor but I respectfully disagree that it could fundamentally damage Tencent's business. After diving deep into the fundametals of the business itself I see a very well diversified business with strong wide moat & currently undervalued about 60% based on a 10 year DCF valuation.

    Great video!! I have been invested in BABA since 2020 and hope for a bounce. I realized that the China market isn't going anywhere and was looking for a way out. I just purchased shares at $73.50 which lowers my cost basis to around $100 where it should be my way out...without losing too much. It's so sad because the China market looked to appealing for making a good profit.

They can suddenly do something to which pulls money out of stocks, but if they're worried about the stock market, they can just as quickly do something to inject liquidity into the market. And he keep saying before this video, that CCP stocks were good to buy, because he had " friends " in CCP country with reliable info ( Adam dont believe in Communism Behaviour ). But for me, I am seeing the video of CCP stocks buy or sell as an entertainment, because since 2017 Umbrella movement in HK and the start of trade war by Trump and now with Biden a new Cold War Era against CCP and Putlher Russia has already started, so I dont think CCP stocks ( HK stock included ) are good to buy. The Biden Administration already revoke HK special status, so HK passaport it will be like a CCP passaport with lots of restrictions when applying US visa. Next US president, I think will cut the Link Exchange Rate between HK dollar and USD. And bye bye HK. Taiwan TWSE index recently beat Hong Kong HSI index.

    Funny coincidence on Friday I sold my China large cap etc (IQQC), bought some Nike shares as well and put the rest into an emerging markets etf (IQQE) with only 27% China stake :-)

    Adam Both CSI 300 and Hang Seng are coming to a very important trendline on the Monthly chart. You mention to be Greedy when others are fearful, what are your thoughts? India is expensive in comparison, but if China sell the T bills and pump it into their stock market it could rally?

    I only buy into high dividend ETF and Stock but still a lost this year for China HK shares....China and US are in a big finance war and it look to me that China is trying to avoid financial crisis by de-prioritize Stock Market weighting so it won't be impacted by External influence. Really not sure when the war will be ended but probably not in the next few years.

    Adam is the first person I turned to when I started to invest. His courses taught me a lot but since then I’ve moved to other markets. Therefore I want to give back to the some of the knowledge I have gained following his principles. The S&P has gone nowhere since the 70tees when you take inflation in to account. Only two sectors have actually grown exponentially. Those are technology and Crypto. I know Adam is not so fun of crypto but with his experience his should look into it. Ex: some of the main assets are up tremendously ytd-BTC ~160%,Eth~90% & Sol ~1000%. Another stock Adam doesn’t like is TESLA. That’s is a sleeping giant and IT IS NOT JUST A CAR COMPANY. I come from Cuba and just like china I would not invest in anything that has to do with control and manipulation.

  • @yunuu

    I m holding some Bank of China stocks. It's been quite cyclical, but their dividend are quite attractive. My feeling is that conventional industries in China is like elder sisters who are daddy's favourites. N tech stocks are like younger sisters who are always rebels n challenging their father's limit 😅

    On 24th dec, Adam switched his tencents for Nike. As of 4th jan. Nike dropped from avg 110 to 102. Nike dropped likely due to its 15% revenue market from china which same region as Tencents of which adam sold in dec . The same region with same political and policy risks that adam was mentioned ,namely: Unpredictable.
    Conclusion : likely adam might switch again..😂
