Hi Crystal, I am currently a CSULB communications student who is thinking about becoming a paralegal. Thank you for your videos and tips! It is a nerve wracking experience to figure out what career to enter, but your videos are helping so much! 😊
Hi Crystal! I commented this on the Part 4 video but I thought I'd write it here too haha. Could you talk more about your experience being a paralegal in entertainment law? I'm very interested in the entertainment industry, specifically in music law, and I can't find too much information about it online. I would love to learn more about the work that you do day-to-day. Thank you so much for making these videos, they're super helpful! ♡
Currently, I work as a paralegal. I’ll be attending law school this fall. Your channel is dope! It was so difficult for me to find content on TH-cam that was useful in my transition from policing to a firm. I hope you keep it going. Do you think you’ll pursue becoming an attorney?
I love your content! Hi Crystal my name is Kiana I graduated with my BA in Criminal Justice I’m planning to enroll in a Paralegal program in the spring and get some experience before I go to law school. Can paralegals really make 6 figures ? Have you heard of freelance paralegals and what are they exactly?
Hey Crystal! My name is Chris lol. I’m an aspiring Lawyer actually and I have like a whole plan on what journey to embark on. Would love to chat with you about it! Do you think just getting an Associate’s is enough to go for the paralegal certification? Should I enroll in a bachelor’s afterwards? Or paralegal program requirements vary?
Hi! I have not, but a few jobs I’ve applied to in the past have made it *optional* to submit a writing sample and in that case I’ve always submitted a writing sample of agreements/case briefs/depo summaries I’ve written. I hope this helps? 🤞🏼
Hi Gabby! No, not at all! When I took the program in 2019 it was roughly $11,000 including books, materials and parking! I believe the program is fully online now as well! Also, I’ll be speaking at the free info session on Oct. 5. You should join to get more info!! 😊
Hi Crystal! You make great videos and they are actually helpful for people like us who are planning to join paralegal firm and are completely new to this field. I had a question. Actually I have my masters degree in International Law from a foreign university (India) and I’m planning to join a paralegal firm here in Texas where I recently moved with my husband. So what paralegal certification do I need before entering in any paralegal firm? Is a 5-6 month paralegal certification enough for me?
Hi! Thank you so much for watching and I’m so glad you find my videos helpful! ☺️ Also, congrats on your Masters Degree that’s amazing! I want to re-iterate that not all forms require a paralegal certificate. I would first look into firms in your area and see what the job qualifications are, if a certificate is mandatory then any program (weather it be 5 months or 12 months) would work! As long as at the end of your program you receive a certificate you will be good! Some programs are shorter than others because they’re accelerated, so if you have the time I’d definitely say go for the faster program but be prepared to retain a lot of information in a short time-span. Wishing you the best of luck!
That’s a good question I’m glad you pointed that out I’m currently post grad I’m looking to go back for my paralegal certification and right now I work a lot of overtime it would be interesting how that translate into this field

Hi! Have you done a portfolio to give to employers when job seeking?

I don’t have a degree I need to go back but I have $3 and ran out of financial aid in 2020😢
Hi Crystal! I was wondering if you mind me asking how much the ucla program is?

Hi Crystal, do paralegals get paid for any overtime worked? Trying to understand the billable process. Are paralegals hourly or salaried employees?
