Amazing interview. Love the discussion on pre-con / design service. You gave me an idea - when asked about it', we're simply going to address the elephant in the room head on and call it a "Price Check evaluation" .... Client "oh, what's that about"..... "Glad you asked, as part of our pre-con design services , we provide you with a price check so that you know what you're getting is in line with other builders"..... I genuinely feel like, we might as well address price, but not compete on it. So just say, yeah this is the cost to build the house, but what are you getting for that cost - need to always shift the conversation back to value. And if the price is too low, then you need the client to ask "what are we missing in this price."
