  • Please let us know if we wrongly identified any wildlife, including birds. Bird identifying is surely one of the most difficult things, and very easy to make a mistake with it. We read all the comments, so we are always willing to learn.
Our day started by waking up at 3:30am. Made a quick coffee and off we went. The road was very busy with trucks, especially oncoming traffic. We arrived at the gate just before opening time. There was a very long queue outside the gate for day visitors. Luckily we had a booking in the park and we could skip the queue. Inside, the queue, where all the paperwork had to be done was not that much better. But this gave us time to fit our GimPro to the door.
As we entered the park, we took the first gravel road that was the S25, and on approaching our first sighting we knew that it was something good, as it was already congested with cars. It was a female cheetah with three cubs. They swiftly crossed the road, leaving a lot up to the imagination of how they actually looked.
We then turned around and took the S28, and saw a lot of birds, very common birds, but also a few non. br birds, that made it very difficult to identify. We stopped at the Ntandanyathi hide to stretch the legs and enjoyed a few minutes there, but as it was very busy we left soon to give other people also a chance to sit in the hide.
We drove to Sunset dam close to Lower Sabie, and as always there was wildlife all over, including some fantastic birds, then we went to the Sabie River bridge just east of Lower Sabie.
We made a quick breakfast to go at the Mlondozi picnic site. We found this site to have stunning landscapes and a brilliant dam to look over. There was some Elephant at the dam.
We had a total of three lion sightings for the day. The first two weren't something to write a book about, even if it was Casper the White Lion near Satara. We also had a quick wild dog sighting, and then it started to rain, giving the best promise of a rainbow over the Olifants River high-level water bridge.
We arrived at Olifants just in time and were given the bungalow with the best view in the Kruger National Park.
    Hope you enjoy the upload.

Did we make any errors in identifying any animals/birds?
