@@halcyonoutlander2105 I run a classic car restoration shop and I actually was looking for tail lights for a Datsun like that, but most junkyards don't even carry them anymore. It took me 3 months of going to different orders before I found one who actually had the right tail light, though you do have a point about being a hoarder. I have seen some people who do math too many parts, which is why it's important only take the rarest and most valuable parts. Perhaps try to quickly resell them instead of holding them tho, which is one thing that hoarders doing correctly they just take the parts and they don't want to let them go

The state of that 2nd car reminded me of Sheriff Buford T. Justice's car from Smokey & the Bandit II when Buford says to Junior 'Give me your handkerchief.', 'Why what's up daddy?', 'Lil fly shit!'
This Tornado was a rare top of the line "Caliente" model... taller lower side mouldings, brushed stainless upper body trim that's missing and a fancier interior then a Brougham... sad to see, but judging by the frame condition, it was time!
I knew of a 79 Monza owned by a girl I went to school with, then owned by a guy who's foster son I used to know, and then my friend's dad bought it. Three people I knew that owned the same car.
@@Jerms995 actually I heard of Oldsmobile because that was the family car my parents use to have my mom& dad had a 1984 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme 2 door but in 1999 the engine stopped working & my dad couldn't get it started anymore so then he got rid of the car & that was the end of the old family car plus we also had a 1987 Mercury Sable which lasted a little longer than the Oldsmobile because my dad couldn't afford to replace the engine that's why he junked the Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme
1st car, picked clean of parts so good to crush, 2nd car, wow! i thought only pick ups snapped like that! god dam that's bad, also came with a snow mobile? huh mind you those things are small money pits you only use them in cold weather and most of the time they sit around there kinda like jet ski's only thre differant but get the same kinda use, 3rd car? or what's left clearly been cut up for others to live on, 4th car looks okay but its rusted out you can see the rear of the boot and the door looked to be err only the inner skin was left, also only 1 rear light left? which dmub dumb only took one you take both not just one, 5th car those rear lights look japan esk? would of grabbed those might be some dollars on those but the rest of the car is completely rusted out bad yep was a japan car as that is a nice front kinda sad as that front might of made good money as ppl want those if its not cracked or the screw holder parts are broken, 6th car, something that like the first been picked clean, dam show you how bad the rust is if that snaps a nut or in some cases you were going to remove that? nope,
I dont like to see how destroy classic cars where they are salvageable or the parts are in good shape for other cars classic car parts are very difficult to find.😡🤦♂️😔
The Ford Escort is my least favorite car I noticed a lot of problems with that car plus I seen a few accidents with those cars as well I remember I witness a lady crashed into a Chevy Cavalier & she ended up on the sidewalk completely stuck when the flatbed came it took a while to get the lady's Ford Escort on the flatbed because it was really stuck on the sidewalk
No stupid music added? No selfies? THUMBS UP
4 wheel disc brakes on the Toronado brings back memories in the back seat lol now Olds is gone will never see a car like that again
First time watching this channel, and I love that there's no obnoxious commentary by the camera operator BIG thumbs up.
The Monza... with a vinyl top that really dates it.
Been a while since I seen or heard of Datsun... My neighbor owned one in the late 80's, he loved it a lot. Another great video! Thanks again!

Datsun 610, I believe. Some of those trim pieces (rear lights esp) have to be incredibly rare, but few are saving those yet, and so it goes.
I know. If I owned that yard, I'd be pulling parts left and right and stockpiling them. Wasting parts that are unavailable and useable.. SMDH.
Grille and taillights should have come out of it for sure.

Oh, the sounds of the crusher. That Escort sure was a stubborn one.
Love the video thanks for sharing. They seem to have a lot of older cars at this yard!
The Toronado looks so sad lol
It looked sad when it rolled off the assembly line. It's a really dumpy-looking car.
Buick sold a ton of them
@@larryblondin6351 It's an Oldsmobile...
I like the 70s boat Toros better
It was ready for it all to be over and its misery to end lol
I wonder what the other guys think of you filming these crush videos. Keep em coming! No political discussions here!! 😊
Noo the lil blue Chevy monza 😖 awww
1975 Datsun 610 NOooo! 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭
Poor Tornando was a underrated car but such a beauty
Wow, the Toronado was a rare convertible...obviously rusted out (evident by how it practically flopped apart on the forklift!)
The frame on that Tornado is completely shot !
Those first 3 cars are from another world
Those Datsuns started to rust when they were new.
Those rear lights on that Datsun go for almost 500 bucks on some marketplaces, I see so many good parts and auto glass go to waste.
The state of that 2nd car reminded me of Sheriff Buford T. Justice's car from Smokey & the Bandit II when Buford says to Junior 'Give me your handkerchief.', 'Why what's up daddy?', 'Lil fly shit!'
was that a Snow Mobile inside the Olds?
Yes it was.
So glad they gave up using those torx bits in the wheel bearings! Sweet justice seeing it in the crusher all smashed apart hahaha!!!

That Datsun was a rarity......here in the UK most of them dissolved they were so badly protected against rust.
They were not rare back in the '70's in California. You saw them everywhere!
@@Thomas-iz1le They were common here too in the 70s, but the quality of the steel was so rubbish few of them saw their tenth birthday.
New meaning to the phrase “crushed it!”
More tires in front of the crusher please! Twice as much. Thank you.
I wish GM would bring back the Toronado in some form had a lot of fun in the backseat in my '75 Toronado:)
that monza seems very RARE i googled some for sale i only saw 3 of em and they were NOT street legal !
Oh I love it. Especially the older cars. I think my 1990 Toronado Trofeo is superior to this Toronado year.
I knew of a 79 Monza owned by a girl I went to school with, then owned by a guy who's foster son I used to know, and then my friend's dad bought it. Three people I knew that owned the same car.
No wonder why those cool rides disappeared and neven seen again on the roads but oh well..
Some of these cars have been here for decades. They were never going to be on the road again anyway.
Love how a rust free Monza went straight into the crusher with nothing picked off of it first!
Look again. That Chevy Monza is Riddled with Rust!
Back again!
Was that red car under the Ford Escort the Datsun?
Read the description it gives all the cars in order
I would have parted out that monza a little more. Buddy of mine woulda liked to have gotten them wheels off it and he needs glass for his too.
You would, think they would save glass, and tail lights etc on old cars
At least the monza wasn't a 2+2 hatchback
And the family truckster is no more 😂
I had a Mazda GLC.
What was that red thing on tracks in the back of the second car?
A snowmobile.
I never heard of the Oldsmobile Tornado before
I did. The mid size generation was very popular then.
The Oldsmobile version of the Cadillac El Dorado

I thought this was a car crusher not a trash compactor!
Tornado was rusted in Half
There's money on that car still drums 🤣 motors calipers
That’s a sad Toronado!!
Worked for a dealer back in the day those Toronados were nice cars
First car beretta z26
I want to see some fox body mustangs get crushed that would be sweet never liked them
Do they make more powerful crushers? I want my cars flatter than these. 😉
I think the datsun is a 710
Does this guy know how to use a camera
I'm here for the 'those cars could of been saved' comments, they always make me laugh
All of those cars are being saved for the crusher.
Yeah, no kidding!
Those comments are the best!
Must be where old, square body S-10s go to die
This place is a mess .....
What was that white car?
Read the description on the video gives all the cars in order

The Chevy Monza looks similar to Pontiac Trans Am
@meangreen69Nova it kind of has the same body shape plus it's a two door like the Trans Am
@meangreen69Nova then maybe the Ford Mustang
