  • A tutorial for how to attach a wide array of packs to the Pack Rabbit and Pack Mule frame systems. Most packs share a number of common design characteristics, so attaching another manufacturer’s pack is generally an easy process. A Pack Rabbit Products Adapter Kit provides the means to quickly and easily attach most types of popular packs.

Do you have something that will work with an LL Bean Continental Pack OR a Swedish LK35?

The LL Bean Continental could be used with the Large Exoskeleton frame. Because there are no side compression straps, the only way to (permanently) attach it to the frame is by using the pack's top carry handle and the bottom straps of the shoulder straps. A pair of Pack Rabbit shoulder straps and a hip belt attached directly to the frame would be required. The Swedish LK35 does not look like a good fit for our frame system. How well would this frame fit when used in conjunction with a plate carrier?

Our frame has been (and continues to be) used by military members who are wearing plate carriers. They carry telescopic ladders, EOD robots, communications equipment, as well as other types of gear.
Like any system, wearing a pack and plate carrier together always delivers some level of decreased comfort. And, the weight of the pack directly impacts this fact. (Lighter pack = increased comfort.)
Our Exo-Frame has several unique characteristics that enhance its compatibility when worn in conjunction with a plate carrier.
      1. Shoulder straps can be adjusted at their upper attachment points to achieve a proper fit and accommodate the extra space occupied by a plate carrier.
      2. The wider stance of the frame allows for more even contact between the frame and the back plate, which improves comfort and provides better load stability.
      3. The frame's free-floating pivoting lumbar (with compression) helps to reduce the amount of direct pressure and friction between the plate and the back during movement.
For more information, contact one of our gear experts at (214) 774-4363. One of our former military members should be able to provide you with any additional information, advice, or recommendations needed.

Could you use this frame with the Maxpedition Condor 2 ??????

Hello Geneo. The Pack Mule 2 frame WILL work with the Maxpedition Condor 2 pack. The bottom and side compression straps can be routed through the dedicated 1" attachment slots located along the perimeter of the frame. This will provide a sturdy and reliable way to secure your pack to the frame. However, we do recommend that you NOT try to use the pack's shoulder straps with the frame. Only removable shoulder straps should be be utilized on the frame. Straps that remain attached to the pack will not allow the frame to fit/align properly against the back. We recommend that you use our shoulder straps, and tuck your pack's shoulder straps away between the pack and frame. We hope this information has been helpful. Please contact us again at info@pack-rabbit.com if you have any additional questions.
