- No German Citizenship For Those Using Palestinian Slogan | Vantage with Palki Sharma
Germany will deny citizenship to anyone who uses, likes or comments on Pro-Palestinian slogan "From the river to the sea, Palestine will be free" on the social media platforms. This slogan is associated with the support for Palestine. As per the German Interior Ministry’s new regulations, those using this slogan will be disqualified from becoming German citizens. German Interior Minister Nancy Faeser released a new set of regulations for German citizenships following June 27 regulation as per which people who are employed in Germany can work to obtain citizenship after five years, compared to the eight years previously required in the law. The Interior Ministry said in its statement that the requirements have been tightened, especially regarding “Racism, antisemitism, or any other form of misanthropy rule out naturalization."
