    Never made a cider…thanks for the inspiration. I’ll add this to the rotation.

    When it is made from Pears, it is called Perry. Cider is made from apples only.

    Another great idea of a boozy drink! What is your dosage of Potassium Sorbate + Campden Tablet f.e. to 20l batch of sour with lots of fruits? I can not find this information in your videos but I see you are using this often. Cheers!

    Hey thank you for the input. Amazing.
    Can you help to make Hard Seltzer from wine ?

    Having a cider in the rotation was the best decision because of how simple they are to make and mess around with the ingredients. Great stuff BruSho! will definitely have to try this one out.

      Couldn’t agree more. So easy to whip up whenever you need to fill a tap

    Mh, starting with a juice made from concentrate... I know, it's an Easy recipe, and you took whatever was on hand, but... not even real juice, come on.

    • @TheBruSho
      @TheBruSho  ปีที่แล้ว

      Then get real juice?

    That's so great! This, along with your chai tea pear cider, makes me want even more to brew one for a friend of mine whose favorite beer is a pear Imperial Weisse and who I guess could love the tartness and flavors of a nice homebrewed pear cider

    • @TheBruSho
      @TheBruSho  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Both of the pear ciders i've made have been some of my favorites of all time, they have a nice complexity to them that you don't get from regular apple cider.

  • @DanTopPhotography

    If using a kegerator, you should be right to not stabalise. At serving temps i've had kegs maintain sweetness for over 6 months.
    Looks like a great idea for a drink though. Must try it one day! If only pear juice was more common.

    • @TheBruSho
      @TheBruSho  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      That’s a good point, especially if you make a small batch and drink fast. But I’ve had some ferments go through sweetness changes when I didn’t stabilize. But whatever works!

    I also tried my hand at hard cider (dry hopped), and found something that has not yet been mentioned in most of the videos I've seen on the topic :)
    My cider (organic, bag packed apple juice direcly from the orchard, no added sugars, Fermentis AS-2 and dry hopped with a small amount of Cascase) came out _very_ dry.
    I love dry wines, but this cider was severly lacking some sweentness.
    I tried backsweetening (without stablizing, since the keg will stay below fermenting temperatures at all times), but was way too careful.
    What I ended up doing (and what worked out perfectly!) was to put a pump dispenser with simple sirup (sugar/water 1:1) next to the tap.
    One or more pumps of simple sirup, draft your cider on top - perfect sweetening to taste :) , and you don't loose any of the carbonation.
    At least for Cider, I'll never bother with the whole backsweetening thing again, this is much more simple :)
    For me, the optimal amount of simple sirup was around 1 cl/300 ml. Just so I can look it up somewhere for the next batch :)

    If you go into the baby section of walmart they sell several brands of 100% pear juice cheap. They also make a great value version though it is harder to find.

    Hey Trent! What pressure do you carbonate and serve your ciders at?

    • @TheBruSho
      @TheBruSho  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Usually around 10-12psi. If I want it fizzy faster I might burst carb for 24 hours
