Hi kabitaji, I checked many recipes for gulab jamun, but seriously.. I like this recipe. In other recipes they add maida means all purpose floor which I don't keep at home and also I do not prefer to use. So I was disappointed. But I will definitely try this recipe. I keep rawa/suji all the time as I use it frequently.

Maida is wrong. Suji is right. This is always made with suji which makes the balls crispy and adds a different texture, more soft and pulpy. Both come from Wheat flour but suji (semolina) has a granular texture which maida does not have. Not at all the same.
