YES!!! If you play anymore Nancy Drew games, I HIGHLY, HIGHLY, HIGHLY recommend Curse of Blackmore Manor! It terrified me as a child and is still one of my top computer games.
Yes! Curse of Blackmoore Manor is my favorite. Also the Deadly Device is really good.

Ok, I just started watching this channel yesterday and because of this I am 100% all in. Not only has she played ND games in the past, but actually gets invested and enjoys them and remembers connections from previous games! Every time I see someone playing an ND game on here, they usually poke fun at it and never finish. These games are so good though and they were a huge part of my life growing up. I’m even replaying a few of them with my son now, he loves them! My favorite thing about Christmas or my birthdays as a kid was getting a new Nancy Drew game, they were and always will be my jam. So glad I found this channel. You’re a delight and have really awesome play throughs from what I’ve watched so far!

She’s doing online homework voicing for schools now. One of the ND Facebook groups I’m in has multiple people posting vids from either different apps or the same one and we all recognize her voice. Well, almost all of us. Lol. For me, it just takes one to two sentences and I can spot her.
I think I like her better in those games...in these she sounds like she's reading her lines while the other characters speak very naturally. Maybe I'm imagining it...

the next games i would recommend would be treasure in the royal tower, curse at blackmoor manor and warnings at waverly academy - just because it has fun petty rich boarding school girl drama 🥴
if you like savannah's character, you'd love the character named Prudence Rutherford.... shes in a few of the older games one of them is the phantom of venice, another is the secret of the scarlet hand
I loved that you're giving more Nancy Drew games a chance. Just putting it out there, I think you'd like The Ghost Dogs of Moon Lake, and also The Haunting of Castle Malloy. Two of my favourite scary ones from Nancy Drew. If you're looking for more fun, I suggest Danger By Design, or The Phantom of Venice.
Ghost dogs gave me nightmare. Isolated and howled at are a great combo.

Agh, Castle Malloy and Ghost Dogs (that one was my first game) scared the sh*t out of me. I thought I was being “rebellious” because I was under the recommended age group 😂 Also the puzzles at the Castle were certainly weird! 😂
and Message in a Haunted Mansion!! It's pretty short and might not work on many computers nowadays, but used to really freak me out.

I've just started going through your Nancy playlist and I know you've commented on this several times Gab, but I want to reiterate that the writing in these games is AMAZING. When Savannah is telling the story about the willow tree??? God, it's so well written and the voice actress nailed the delivery. Thank you so much for introducing me to these games!

I agree with all of those but one thing ill say is I personally believe that though going in order is unneeded, certain games should be played after others. Silent Spy is one of those so she gets a full experience in Nancy's mother

Oak Alley Plantation - The exterior of Thornton Hall and the live oak alley that leads up to the house are directly inspired by Oak Alley Plantation, a historic plantation located in St. James Parish, Louisiana on the west bank of the Mississippi River.
I live by this and have been there a few times. nice place, great food. its an inn and house tour now. staying at the inn lets you walk the grounds, house tour are run by another company/person

HER just released something on their blog about real life places that the game environments were based off of. Oak Alley Plantation was indeed the basis for Thornton Hall.

Female spys were extremely important in not only the American Civil War but several throughout history. A woman coming from a rich white family were little much more than property at this time. Because of this underestimating women, especially women of color, led to them being overlooked constantly. Oh my GOD my sister and I just streamed this together last week!! Hahaha!! All your reactions were basically identical to ours, ahaha! We went from Shadows at the Water's Edge to this one too, so seeing Savannah again was unexpected and exciting. Also the graphical upgrade!! Phew! Impressive from 2010 to 2013, I think.

As someone who had no idea who nancy drew was two weeks ago and who never really enjoyed these types of games, I really didn't expect to enjoy your playthroughs of the ND games as much as I do! The bags hanging from the ceiling in the cotton factory at the beginning remind me of the tall bags for wool that were almost a story tall that we'd hang from the floor of the hayloft of our barn to extend through the floor to the level below. My Dad would pitch in wool fleeces and my sister and I would jump on each one coming down to pack it as tightly as we could. When it would get pretty full, my Dad would jump in the bag because he was heavier and we would throw in the wool. That surely is a memory from long ago! Plus I actually read all the Nancy Drew's and Hardy Boys from the library!
I like Harpers dialogue, and the voice actor. She sounds like the hormone monstress played by Maya Rudolph, from Big Mouth.

@@haydennault5342 I don't Remember the exact name but, it was one where Nancy and the Hardy's teamed up to find a murderer in Dracula's Castle, that was my favorite but it has been about 35 years since I've read any of them.

Holy Shite! I was so excited when I saw that you played Ghost of Thornton Hall. It is such a good game. Honestly all the Nancy Drew games are worth one playthrough, if not more, but I always enjoy the ones with more spooks. Have fun playing!

@@britneyjacobs5652 Yeah, the new voice actress threw me off. She isn't bad, just going to take getting used to. The former voice actress had been there since the beginning so it's a bit jarring to hear a new Nancy.

I have to say, as someone who's name is also Clara, I have never seen a character in fiction named Clara that didn't turn out to be bat-shit crazy, or an arsonist, or a victim of murder. So we'll see how this one turns out xD

I’ve known two Claras and both were wonderful women, one being literally the nicest and best roommate ever, so this surprises me haha
I think I actually did a project in elementary school about Sarah Emma Edmonds- or at the very least, a woman just like her, who dressed as a man and worked as a spy. We all made paper cutouts of ourselves and made said cutout look like the person we had researched- and what helped most with that was that the essay we wrote was on the back, so we could read it easily.

Nancy Drew games are so freaking cool, even when some of the mysteries and puzzles are ridiculous. They're just so much fun! and when you find gems like this game, it's even more worth it!
Fun fact about the Baghdad battery, as seen in the book early on in the game. The "battery" was found to not be an actual battery used for electroplating. Instead, historians and archeologists now believe that those small pots were used for funeral rites. It's very interesting stuff.

Not finished with it yet, still at 1:46:10 but I actually think Harper has been one of the most interesting side characters from the Nancy drew games so far. She’s definitely a very sinister person. But she lost both of her loving parents at once due to a plane crash and then her only other family member, her older sister died and was made into some kind of nightmarish ghost legend. Additional to all that, harper then left bc of all this pain and went missing for a longer time and when she came back they literally out of spite put a grave on the graveyard even though she’s still living and came back. I don’t know but all of that pretty much explains to me why she’s the way she is. Also adding the family’s history that probably is also not helping for her mental health. Don’t like Harper but she’s an interesting character!
