Do Kwon’s defense vows legal battle to avoid extradition to U.S.

Former cryptocurrency entrepreneur Kwon Do-hyung is looking to dispute a high court's decision to have him extradited to the U.S.
In fact his defense team has pledged to push for his extradition to South Korea.
Kwon's lawyer Goran Rodic claimed the court's ruling was "illegal" and would "not hold."
Kwon was arrested last March amid a global arrest warrant over a 40 billion U.S. dollar crash of Terraform Labs' cryptocurrency which hit hard individual investors worldwide.

I assume his defense team is more aware of the laws and charges he'd face in either country than I am, but I'm surprised. It's my impression South Korea is tougher with its corporate laws and holds corporate heads to a higher responsibility, especially where the investors lose money. I hope to hear more coverage of this to gain a better understanding of why this defense team is choosing this path.
