How are no videos for this mower on "TH-cam"? I searched for this mower specifically, and search results were only electric models.. Thought it would be fun to be the first!
Finally, a video on this mower. I just bought one last week and was trying to see if there were any reviews, but could not find one anywhere, except on Home Depot website. I have used it once so far and has worked great. I hope it continues to work as well as day one.
I bought one last week for exactly the same reasons. Had a Toro, need side discharge and the Toro was showing its age after 10+ years. This is basically the same as the Troy built or a variety of other MYD models. Works well out of the box and much lighter weight than the Toro tank, hope it holds up as well!
Thank you for putting this up! There is nothing on this mower. I have the recycler that you were looking at. I hate, hate. hate it! Terrible design the no discharge just causes it to bog down and stop. I saw this one and it looked very very similar to the cub cadet I was looking at a few weeks ago.
I bought one the Dewalt 150cc gas mower yesterday I haven’t used it yet, but can’t wait to use it after all the rain we are bout to get in the next few days!
I took mine out for a spin today. This thing has got some power! Not to mention the self propelled speed outpaces me on max when you squeeze those handles. Im gonna make sure to take care of this mower so it last a long time. Remember to use ethanol free gas everyone snd disregard briggs snd strattos no oil changes nonsense. Always chsnge the oil once a season!
@@drpicmeup some gas stations will have it right at the pump, but you got to do research and figure which ones offer it. An alternative as well is getting small cans at hardware stores. Tru fuel is one brand, but there are many others out there
Had the 150cc and it didn’t have the same size tires as the 163cc or have a side discharge. Super happy I returned and got the bigger one When I was cutting the grass at a certain level with the 150cc lawn mower the rear tires weren’t catching on the grass lol
I have used mine for about 6 hrs now and so far so good. seems quitter than my Honda. Hit a few small stumps (freshly cleared land) and stopped the engine but cranked right back up onw pull!!
Ty! Looks good. I'm probably going to get this one. The Toros have terrible reviews with a side discharge that blows grass out the back right at your feet. And you have to register and contact them to get the stupid part too. Oh and at least give the bag away to someone.
I saw that too regarding the new Toro's and wasn't at all interested in that option for a couple reasons. 1. the rear location by your feet. 2. had to go to toro.com to get the darn thing.
FWIW I recently learned that Toro has a left-side rear discharge chute they'll send you for free when you register your Recycler or Super recycler mower. It goes in place of the rear bag and when installed shoots grass out the left side. I didn't know this either and ended up getting a used Snapper 21" Hi-Vac disc drive mower instead.
It's not free, but yes, you can register your mower on the Toro website, and you can order a rear feed shoot that discharges to the side at your feet. It's a bit of a process to do this, but it can be ordered direct from the Toro website once you register. I don't want any part of that..
I just bought one tonight. While putting it together I noticed there is no primer, which is fine; however, there is no choke and the carburetor is plastic, so that makes me nervous. Let me know how it's been running for you. Appreciate the video. I guess the real test is next season.
The speed is variable based on how far you pull the drive levers. I held it at full speed the entire time and walked at a good pace while mowing. The rear drive tires roll freely when when the drive isn't engaged, so when you turn around to make a 180 to reverse direction, you release drive handle and it rolls freely. So far, Dewalt has left a good first impression regarding quality. I mowed through some really deep stuff walking fast and it took it like a champ........
Was thinking about getting this model until i saw a lot of bad reviews on home depot website.. hows it holding up for you so far? A lot of people complaining that the plastic where you adjust hight was very weak and breaking..
I never buy extended warranties myself. My 2 cents, issues will be caused by improper upkeep and storage. With fuel stabilizer, fresh oil every year, and storing with no gas in fuel system over the winter… you’ll be good to go for many years.
I thought the eyehook had to do with supporting the bag. I disposed of my bag though. The pull chord retracts into the motor. Don’t think it would be feasible running pull chord through that.
This Dewalt mower ( model# 12AVP2R3739) has the same engine as the troy bilt TB230 (12AVB2A3711) Whatever problems u had with the Troy bilt your gonna have with this one
I bought a DeWalt gasoline powered mower from home Depot a week and a half ago and it is already falling apart. It's going back for a refund tomorrow. Wow what a piece of junk.
The reason there are no reviews on this mower is because DeWalt will be embarrassed in 6 months to even come out with a lawnmower, they make junk tools, so now they making junk mowers..

My friend got one for free at home depot he stole it lmao saved $500.
Any updates you'd care to share?

I bought this about a month ago have used it 6 times and I love it I was shocked that when I looked it up no one had a video on it. Glad you made one!
was fun being the first one!
Just bought it a couple weeks ago and am very pleased with it so far! 🤞
There are zero videos on TH-cam about this lawn mower. I Iike what I see on your video so I am just going to go ahead and buy it this weekend.
AGREED! How can there not be any videos? At least there is 1 now..ha

Going to pick one of these up now. Thanks for the review!

I bought the 150cc version this past weekend. I love it. It is better than my old honda lawnmower.

The chute placement looks more ideal than most that are centered and don't allow maximum velocity of grass

the Toro "Personal Pace" self propel is more convenient though... the DeWalt works fine, but Toro's Personal Pace is on a different level..IMO

Me too!!!
Thats the gas version of the electrical one that came out a few years back.
Thanks… couldn’t believe I couldn’t find any videos of this gas model. Must have just released.
Just bought one today and the handles do not work to operate the wheels.. anyone know of a fix?
If you just bought it, I’d immediately return and exchange for another one.
It’s a shame that I only found two videos on this mower and neither one of you guys have shown anybody how to attach the bag.
Sorry about that. I don’t bag grass and threw the bag away.
What fuel grade do you use?
@@lepanichee4981 87 octane pump gas
The manual is confusing and says something about setting up the pull chord. Did you literally just set up the handle, add oil and gas and start it up?
Yes.. I literally just extended the handle and added oil.
You'll see there is an eyehook on the right side that you can loosen to slip the pull chord line through.
I got it was as simple as you said. Manual had extra steps that didn’t apply to the mower for some reason

Hopefully it done use same drive gear box that a yard force does
I heard that Toro will ship you a side discharge free of charge when you register your mower.
The new Toro way is to side-discharge the grass out the back immediately in front of the operator. That’s not good and you pay for it.
what brand engine is it?
Briggs & Stratton
I am having problems it won’t engage self propel
Any one know how to tighten the engage cable
It’s a brand new unit! I’d exchange it immediately.
Be nice if it used the front caster wheels the troybilt tb370xp
Can I put any type of gasoline in it?
Not sure what you mean by “any”type of gas. No diesel! Haha
Takes regular pump gas.

WHY would dewalt make a gas powered mower??? this is NOT in compliance with Democrat party policy on outdoor power equipment!
