Very cool video, would love to see the whole mess primed up and if you can tell a difference then.

Runescape music just made this 10x better (not that it wasn't good, but the music made it AMAZING).

love the video but do you think u could give the measurements that you used to print them? because i waant to get the scale right with the original models.

Models intended for Legion will be scaled to Legion size by default. It's pretty much plug and print (aside from supports and whatnot).

I'm on a mission to make a 19mm including base (15mm is just too small for me) Legion army so I can play in a smaller place as well as print out smaller and cheaper terrain.

Had my printer come today. Brought after seeing this vid. you answered some question for me already but do have one more. How long did it take to print the miniature shown in the video? For the first time I try to print I want to stay in to make sure it's all going OK, but just need an approx. time table to make sure I have the time spare. I do understand every mini will differ in time to print it's just to give me a idea of time frame. Thanks in advance for reply.

Depends on your layer height and exposure time.
So in the video i was printing with phroze. 8k resin and used a layer height of 0.2 and exposure of 1.8s this was around 5 hours i think,
Im now using sirayatech resin at 0.25 height and 3s exposure time and thats like 6-7 hours print time
So my point is really depends on your resin and print settings, if your new check out prints to dial in your resin settings,

Will you start making your own custom minis for the game?

Hi where can I find free models to download? I saw the page where you search the alternative models but I cannot find anything. I am from Argentina and is a bit complicated to pay anything to another countries specially when we talk about dollars

What's your anycubic basic resin settings? Also what is the temp of the room printing in?

    • @techclub8528
      @techclub8528  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Room temp varys but its in my main house so usually around 18 - 22 C but depends if im printing over night or thoughout the day. I try to keep the room as warm as possible.
I want to move it out to my garage but i dont have a current economical way of keeping it hot in there.
The phrozen 8k is much more forgiving on settings and heat i have had much less failed prints and the ability to print at higher detail.
My phrozen resin is at 22nm and 1.6 sec.
For the anycubic resin i found a profile on lychee under comunity settings but as the phrozen 8k is so new there isnt many comunity profiles yet.

I like the video and what you have to say but the lighting when showing the figures really lets what you have done down. Better lighting would make you able to see the figure as the detail is to hard to see with you current lighting. I hope this helps with future videos :) I am jealous of your printer and setup!!

Yeh its hard without a macro lens. I have a big light panel light on the tripod but i only have access to the kit lens that comes with the camera which is a panasonic g4.
I am hoping to get a Macro lens when i get some spare pennies.

    A few questions
    1. Is Luchee Slicer software that comes with the printer? or something you need to buy? or free online downloadable software?
2.Can Lychee be used with any 3d printer?
    3. The cylinder with liquid in it that you put the miniature into to, Did the cylinder come with the printer or brought separately , what was the liquid?
    4. What was the full name of the site were you brought the miniature files from? Not found any anywhere near that kind of price. Found some free files but not near that quality.
Anyway that you for this video, very informative, well presented. Look forward to more.

For the files type in starwars gumroad into google. There are some good ones by skullforge studios

Lychee is free software but i pay for the pro version. It can be used with most printers but i would check online if its compatible with your brand of printer as some are locked to a certain software.

@@techclub8528 Thank you. I have found both of these sites you mention. So a good starting place. Some bundles work out to be a very fair price.
      Thank you for your replay
