- Destiny 2 The Final Shape - Solo Crota Raid Boss in TFS / Solo Crota, Son of Oryx Finisher Glitch / Solo Crotas End Raid Final Boss Crota Encounter in CE Destiny 2. Just a quick video showing a solo clear of the Crota boss in the reprised Crota's End raid. Details below.
Since the release of The Final Shape, I've had a few comments ask if this was still possible. And while I still needed some red borders from it, I figured I could make a quick and easy video before reset tomorrow.
This took me two attempts, as the first I didn't launch him far enough.
The whole thing for this is to launch Crota far enough by your finisher to have him fall off the map. If it's only a small launch, he'll respawn in the arena. It needs to get some distance. Tips on how to get this to work:
- Timing / position: You want Crota to be between you and the enemy, ideally facing towards the edge of the map you want to launch them. You want to use the finisher when Crota isn't slamming, or right before / as he's just started slamming you. It can work at other times and positions, but I found those to be the most consistent.
- FPS doesn't matter. I've seen it done at 30-60, and I've had over 200 with success.
- Finishers matter. Titan default, Scythe, and Valkyrian Impale I know work for sure. There's others as well, but try one of those.

The fact this isnt master and he still did it with the invis build is super impressive. If you do too much smoke damage to those knights theyll die. They die really easily
Something definitely changed because when I tried doing solo master after final shape, my abilities weren't recharging fast enough to be able to chain invis
There are alot of new builds to complete it, try new things.
Your stat spread for mobility and strength must not have been high enough maybe
Just did it a while back had 90 mob 50 str
But was on the dodge that gave meele back(always forget the name)

Literally did this for my Necro, the lfgs were crazy so i just did it 40 or so times

Been doing this a lot for the last few months finally got my nechrocasm a couple weeks ago and have almost all the armour on each character without ever doing another encounter! 😬

@@pieterroeloffs2667 it takes some practice but it’s pretty easy once u get the hang of it, managed to get it done in just 3 minutes today.
hes gone over the edge only 2 times, but just respawns back in. 100% not farmable for those who may think it is
He is 100% farmable. You have to make sure he doesn't hit anything on the way out. He respawns if he touches anything.

How long did it take for you to send him flying off the map? Whenever I try it he does a wimpy little hop at most
took me about an hour in total, make sure your using the right finisher
@@Tulip9518 I've done it like 4 times since I made that comment. It's completely random afaik, even with the correct finisher. Attempts take anywhere between 2 mins to an hour even though I've been doing the exact same thing each time.

@@MisterNapkinFace ive noticed its more consistent/ works better if crotas back is to you when you finish the knight behind him. Still random AF on if you can get him in the right position or if you can fling him far enough

It's not working for me. When he flies off, he just respawns in the room somewhere, complete with spawn effect
You didn't hit him far enough, they added a barrier a while ago that will make him respawn instead of die
If he touches any of the rocks he respawns
did it after the video, 3rd try. came back post patch and am at like 50 + tries and can't do it. almost feels like something is changed...
Exact same thing here. I did it Monday night, now attempting on Wednesday and it’s not working. I knocked him off once, but he teleported back. Unless you just have to knock him far enough, they may have fixed it.

@@KevGamerHD do you have any tips? I spend 3 or 4 minutes getting all the knights prepped, i smoke bomb and then stand on that circle and jump up and down, as he approaches i dodge for extra invis, then i just cannot get him to launch... i've done it 1 time out of like 200 attempts

tried this for over an hour with the scythe finisher, switched to the 'give em the chair' finisher and got it first try
Can this be farmable to get Essence of Oversouls? I only need 9 more to get Necrochasm. The hard part is getting a raid team to do it with me.
I am pretty sure it is farmable as I don’t see why it wouldn’t be because the game considers it as a legitimate clear.

Ok, this is just my opinion based on what ive tested
Easiest survivability is lock
Easiest dmg is hunter
Bit of both is titan
First boss:
Warlock : u wana be on nova(star eaters) with edge transit and some sort if weaken(make use of the artifact mod thaat deals extra dmg to weakened enemies while using a void weapon)
Hunter : id do tether and grapple meele on prismatic with synthoceps for the class item
Titan: banner with tractor cooks
Second boss:
Warlock: dragons breath and song of flame, this will be better after using the new artifact mods from act 2
Hunter: this might be a bit weird but blade barrage with shards of galanor and a fusion with dragons breath will cook. Optimally u can get of one super each plate during dmg
Titan: pyrogale dragons breath. U can get 2 supers off in one dmg phase optimally
Final boss:
Warlock: same as first encounter
Hunter: id do still hunt celestial with a rocket(same rotation as witness dps)
Titan: not entirely sure but prismatic twilight arsenal and edge transit shud be ok
For final boss if u want to take it slower on Hunter(which might be safer) malfeasance lucky pants with a rocket of gl is good enough

Imo u can do the whole dungeon on lock with one loadout that works well in all encounters
Thats dragons breath paired with a fusion and song of flame
U can have a swap loadout for dmg that switches from getaway to dawn chorus
Ignitions deal more dmg(think 200% more

Any can but most finishers aren't consistent. The two most consistent are omni strike and served.

So I figure now you just gotta go for it and hope for the best since crota doesn't sit still anymore. It's like they changed him to allow him to somehow see you invisible yet not at the same time.
Esoterickk is just doing a bad setup. i prefer ratking, reload in air

It does , done it on master and reg 1 time. limited time and its a B to get the angle right for me to launch the little guy .
It definitely works. I can do it typically in under 5 minutes if Crota isn't acting up. It's definitely getting the right angle and making sure he doesn't hit anything on the way down

A lot of finishers do work. The default works. The hard part is the timing u want to have a knight infront of crota’s knee cap then finish that knight while u are behind crota

This is so hard to cheese they wont patch it. I gave up and just beat master crota legit. When crotas end is on rotation this might become a problem for farming adept weapons tho. So it could be patched this season.
I know this dude is a god at this game but there's no way he can get this on his first or second attempt every time. This shit is either frame perfect or patched.

No, only a few specific ones. I don't know the entire list, but Titan default, Scythe, and Valkyrian Impale I know work for sure
omni strike also works very well. It can be done with warlock and hunter default finishers too but its so painfully difficult that I'd just say buy one of the mentioned finishers.

Any finisher works, but some are better than others. The scythe is the best afaik, but I imagine the flick from this season works just as well. And any class works, just with different techniques. Invis or solar healing work best. Practise makes perfect though, the angle is extremely precise.
