Ray revealed what everyone pretty much already knew. Ray wishes he never grew up so he can just have his mother pamper and baby him while he relaxes in front of the TV all day.
You should’ve added the last scene of the episode where Robert brings in a cardboard cutout of Marie in a wedding dress and tells Ray “Enjoy you sick bastard!”
You can pretty much blame Marie for most of Ray's and Robert's flaws: obsessively spoiling and favoring Ray over Robert their entire lives, general toxic controlling behavior, and a steadfast refusal to accept that she's ever in the wrong.
To see Ray moving back in with his parents, while this idea is humorously explored in the series, it is unlikely to be a long-term solution. The show often highlights the tension and discomfort Ray feels when he spends extended time with his overbearing parents. Moving back would likely exacerbate these issues and would be a step backward in his personal growth and family life. Therefore, while it's a funny concept for an episode or two, it's not a viable long-term arrangement for the character.
Ray was a genius. It took him 2 seconds to figure out what's going "on" in the counseling And how to sabotage it. Then Marie takes over as the counselor, and then he gives himself away. What a crash and burn.
In other words, Ray’s the lazy and immaturely childish version of Norman Bates, lol! 😂😂😂 What’s even funnier at the end Robert comes over, seemingly apologizing for mocking Ray the day before (Ray said he liked to be taken care of, and Debra said "But you've gotta understand, Ray, that's not a wife, that's a mother." Ray: "Well maybe that's what I want!"). But then he says he got Ray something, and hauls in a giant cardboard cutout of Marie in a wedding dress. *Robert: Enjoy, ya sick bastard!*

the problem is ultimately the women in those families. marie may be on some weird shit but there's always food on the table, house cleaned. it's absolutely insane how debora feels so entitled to him being a servant around the house when most of his day is already spent paying for the house that she wanted, that she asked for. he even let her have what she wanted moving in next door to the mom and dad. all she has to do is show a little appreciation for what he does give rather than demand more and say nothing is good enough. she treats it like she's doing him a favor just being with him. guys like him are already rare as it is, works hard for the family, loyal, and all he wants coming home is a brew and to relax. people always act like she was better than him but in reality he could do better and she could do worse. bet your ass stefania would have been happy with a loyal husband that works hard to provide for the family, and also happy raising kids in a comfortable middle class household. also she wouldn't care about maries nonsense because she didn't have issues with her self esteem.
