I feel like Laura Mercier is a brand that doesn’t try to be trendy, which is probably why it’s not what comes to mind when I’m looking for a new product. But if I’m looking for something reliable for work or an event, I think this is definitely a brand I would consider.
@@allanaramaa Lisa Eldridge has some great videos on LM and they are geared toward women that want a more classic makeup look (which might explain why the brand doesn't get a lot of attention. They focus on the basics)
Totally agree! They aren't the social media trend and aren't flashy or targeting a specific crowd. they always have beautiful foundations and concealers.
I love that you’re doing a full face of this brand! This is the brand I always fall back to when I’ve jumped on too many new-launch bandwagons that never perform the way I hope. Also, in general I love full-face-fridays.
For me, Laura Mercier understand the concept of flawless skin before it was cool haha I have a shit ton of tinted moiusturizers but everytime I use the one from this brand, people coment on how beautiful my SKIN looks (not my makeup, my skin)
Back in the day, when I was a practicing MUA, Laura Mercier was one of those high end brands that artists sought out at stores like Bergdorf Goodman in NYC. It was high-quality, with beautiful, skin-friendly shades. I was obsessed with Secret Camouflage (in the compact) and her tinted moisturizer because there just weren’t any on the market back then. The world of cosmetics has exploded with the advent of TH-cam and Instagram - There are a zillion brands out there now! Oddly, I really don’t use very many of her products anymore since I’ve gone to a much more minimal style. Thanks for featuring the brand! Your skin looks gorgeous even before the concealer! *anti-contour person here (I trained with Bobbi Brown)❤️😘
As a 35 year old mom of 4, who loves to watch your videos but rarely steps out of her neutral comfort zone, Laura Mercier is a tried and true favorite!! Her brand is consistent with great quality and decent price points!! Love me som LM!
I love their tinted moisturizer! I think you would too! Also, Bobbi Brown is a brand I had been sleeping on for so many years and just recently picked up three products, so I would love to see you do a full face of Bobbi Brown! 🤍
I'm team contour-specific. I find that using a concealer as contour tends to sit and collect in my large pores and acne scars, looking like blackheads, whereas if I rub a brush against a cream contour stick (or just use powder contour) it is less likely to create that blackhead effect.
stunning!! that eye colour is so nice. i find your make-up videos so helpful because we have such similar colouring (skin tone & hair colours) so loving the regular uploads
Loooved this look. Laura Mercier is definitely one of those brands that has some great staple products without launching a product every week... they need more credit for sure!! Loved this cool toned eye look so much !
I use their regular translucent loose powder everyday, so lol YES I have a suggestion!! 1) Keep the lid screwed on, 2) give the container a good flip & dip upside down (to get some of the powder out of the holes, 3) flip the container right-side up, and 4) give the lid a couple good taps (to knock off excess powder from the lid so it doesn't fly everywhere when you open it). Voila! Just dip your brush in and tap the excess off back in the container. (Can I just say too that I was so glad to see you apply the powder the way you did? Targeted application with a smaller brush is 100% the way to use this IMO. I got off the baked-caked trend pretty early on and have been WAITING to see makeup channels use the powder like this - maybe Lisa Eldridge does, but I don't watch her often enough to know) But yeah, I was soooo happy to see this video! I absolutely love Laura Mercier base products and have been using them exclusively for years. They're the only ones that really work well with my combination skin, but I only discovered that when, having tried a number of products recommended by TH-camrs, I tried some samples from Sephora. It's always felt like such a shame to me that people seem to forget them. Their products are so good! Such a staple, and I'm so glad that they seem to generally be keeping things that way (I'm only 24 so I hope they keep things the same for a LONG time lol). I have their Blurring Pure Canvas Primer, their Oil-free Tinted Moisturizer, and the loose powder, and this combination holds up the best on my T-zone. I've been curious for a while to try that foundation you used today, so this video was perfect! Looks like it'll be a win for me. Thanks!
I love that you did this fullface of Laura. The Lumiere Foundation is gorgeous, and one of my faves and the flawless fusion concealer in my daily concealer. I can't be without it, absolute fave! (The other one I switch it out with I recently tried and it's tied with LM is the Uoma Woke concealer - but the LM hasbeen a longer HG for sure) I've been wanting to try Fresco forever, but I've recently bought a colour pop Fashion District from the Melrose collection, and from what I can tell it's a close dupe (?) From the way it applies. It appears a bit darker in pan maybe, but from what I can tell from everyone I've watched apply it, idk. I've got to see it in person, which is hard to accomplish now a days 😭 Loved this full face!! 🥰 Looks beautiful 🤩 xo
I feel like the Laura Mercier and Bobbi Brown have great tried and true products you can always rely on. I love LM’s ultra long wear concealer, caviar sticks and blushes. All beautiful reliable products.
OMG love me a full face Friday! And I have to say, yet again, the long & wavy off duty model hair is really working for you! Stunning as always Allana! 🖤
Ok I absolutely LOVE the caviar sticks and I have 6 or 7 so far but I don't have amethyst because I don't love purples on myself but I had no idea it was that beautiful! It's more of a taupe which I love sooooo much! I'm so buying that during the sale so thank you for using it! Yay! But they def do have some very warm toned ones too! They have like 40 shades now! I think I'm buying that concealer too! 💓
I just love these full face videos, thank you. You look beautiful as always, your skin looks radiant. It’s funny because I’ve known the name Laura Mercier forever, but I rarely buy it. And now I’m feeling like I should!🤎
Great review of Laura Mercier. The foundation looks so good and light weight on you. Since the opening of this video you now have me singing full face Friday. I sure miss you singing that. Lol
This base looked so natural and summery!! I use their primer and powder and an old bronzer that I've had forever regularly, but now I'm inspired to try some of the other products! For a future video, would love to see you walk through your go-to brushes. I've been looking to revamp by brush collection!
Very pretty look! I always use the lid of loose powders to swirl my brush. So you are not alone there! I have always love Laura mercies as a brand. Love the tinted moisturizer, their blushes and face primers!
Hi Allana. I own about 40 foundation, BB, CC cream tinted moisturizer and the Laura Mercier tinted moisturizer I literally felt in love when I tried it the first time that I bought a second backup tube right away. The only place in my area you can get makeup is in a drugstore. I do not use a deeper concealer for contouring but I sometimes use a deeper shade of the same foundation I have that I love that I have my winter shade and summer shade and use the darker shade on the perimeter of my face for a pre contouring, bronzing step.
This is one of my fave bases you’ve done lately!! So glowy and beautiful. That foundation is incredible and I love how subtle and soft the bronzer is! You’re beautiful girl 🥺😍🥰❤️
My consistent queen! I’m in such a predicament with your videos because on one hand I love them but on the other hand you’re voice is so soothing so I always fall asleep watching 😭
Thanks for the brand overview. You looked wonderful and I was so jealous - especially because I have had really bad experiences with both their mascara and foundation!! I will consider giving their lipsticks a try though - what a cute color for a spring time pucker hahah!
Laura Mercier is great. They have amazing core products. Bases, powders, eye products and lip. The new primers are lovely too. I love the Caviar eye sticks as well. Your look is so pretty.
I love LM products! The concealer stick is a must everyday! It even blends into the skin without using foundation or the tinted moisturizer! When I’m rushing in the morning and don’t have time to put makeup on, I always use the stick and it blend in with the skin amazingly!
Would love to see a video reviewing and comparing lightweight foundations for spring and summer! Seems like there are so many sheer-medium foundations/skin tints/tinted moisturizers coming out and would love to hear your thoughts on them and maybe some older ones!
Stunning! Love the one and done eyeshadow. Ok, milk makeup. They have a lovely tinted moisturizer that I’m not gonna lie I’m tempted! I looks so pretty.
That foundation is my holy grail! It's perfect for dry skin. It applies beautifully over every primer. My go to tip is set it with the CT Airbrush powder slightly and drench your face in setting spray. That combo makes your foundation lasts ALL day and is ok under the mask! Doesn't rub off or anything.
I think it’s normal to have your brands that you like and are drawn to and aren’t! I mostly buy drugstore and for me, that’s never reaching for wet and wild despite all the hype! Love the look ❤️
Love the video. I think you could have used the peachy corrector side of the stick under the eye and still used the flawless concealer to brighten. Maybe try that next time.
Loved this video! I absolutely love the laura mercier translucent powder is one of my favorites! And I also love Nikkia Joy velvet finishing translucent powder! Such awesome powder! I also the Charlotte tilbury airbrush flawless finishing powder! All three my go to!
You look gorgeous dahling! As you were talking I was thinking about my collection & I really don't own any LM products! I've always been curious about their powder & I really love the caviar sticks, but yeah I don't own any! For under eye brightening / concealing & correcting lol, Milani has a new brightener/corrector that's a really nice formula (I think it's their supercharged packaging & this one has a light orange packaging. Also Bare Minerals came out with an under eye brightener/concealer that's a light cooling powder?!? Not just your avg powder, looks extremely smooth, pretty cool concept & neat technology. I'm jumping around a bit, but I do agree with you in that LM has stuck to their marketing/packaging & hasn't gone wild lol. I pretty much stick to contour & bronzing specifically for that (I have used a concealer tho & works just fine) Love you lots xoxo ❤
LOVE the look Allana!!! Feeling an amethyst moment myself this morning. I could watch and follow your tutorials every day. Thank you and we are always wanting more like these! ~Angie~
I love the powder. As an oily-skinned lady, I like the “dryness”. I also like the Charlotte Tilbury powder but it just doesn’t keep me shine-free for long enough
I love the bronzer and highlight from LM!! They have been 2 of my favs for years now.. the highlighter is so creamy for a bride, but can be built up to be quite intense if you’re into that, especially if you dampen your highlighting brush! I’m so intrigued by the foundation and I’m honestly quite tempted to pick it up now.. 🤭
There are a few products/brands that I had in my collection for ages before I would finally try them again.. then I give them another shot after owning it for like 2-4 years and I fall in LOVE with the expired products and then I throw them out and repurchase because I’m wasteful and used to by more makeup than I could wear.. some classics that I owned that didn’t make an impression on me but then I rediscovered them and fell in LOVE are: 1. It Cosmetics CC cream. The original, STUNNING on dry skin 2. Lancôme monisure’ (spelling?) mascara 3. Nars Creamy Radiant Concealer 4. Benefit gimmie brow 5. Becca Bronzer 6. Benefit Hoola Bronzer 7. Hourglass Ambient lighting powders (apply with fluffy brush over entire face and it gives the CREAMIEST glow! 8. Mac lipsticks in the shades, Angel, Cream Cup, Patisserie, Peach Blossom 9. Wet n Wild highlighters 10. Covergirl Advanced Radiance pressed setting powder (gorgeous) 11. L’Oréal Lumi Bronzer in the lightest shade 12. Mac blushes (forgot how good they were)
I agree very much with a lot of things you said, I also don’t enjoy their loose powder at all, but the Flawless Fusion concealer is excellent - KJH got me on it
I´m a deeper concealer girl. I use it as eyeshadow as well instead of buying cream eyeshadows. It works great and last all days. I mix my own colors too and save so much money.
The new concealer pens are such a delight to work with!!! Very great for travel and for touch ups throughout the day. It reminds me a lot of the nars matte pot concealer but in a pen form. So easy to blend out in my opinion and I have dry skin and dry under eyes. You must try it!
I’d love to see you do a full face of Sephora Collection products! I feel like there are some hidden gems, and they are a great mid-range price point, but I never hear much about them
I've missed full face Friday, so YES pleas! more of full face videos :) Laura Mercier kind of skiped my radar as wel, but now I really would like to try det foundation and concealer. I would love to see a Trinny London review :D
I'm super super fair, so for conturing I use whatever I find that works: I used to use an eyeshadow that was light and cool toned enough, than I decided to invest into Fenty cream bronzer in Amber, that is perfect also for a little bit of bronzing (my undertone is neutral/cool). The only thing about Laura Mercier is that, from what I know, it's not really inclusive in the shade range (I don't have a shade in the base products you used, maybe in the concealer, but I don't think so). You look gorgeous ❤️
I appreciate when a brand’s products quality speaks louder than its marketing. LM is a great example of that.
I feel like Laura Mercier is a brand that doesn’t try to be trendy, which is probably why it’s not what comes to mind when I’m looking for a new product. But if I’m looking for something reliable for work or an event, I think this is definitely a brand I would consider.

Some of my staples are from LM. The secret camouflage concealer, primer, and bamboo eyeshadow are my favorite.

I love the lip pencil in Queen! That is the first one I ever tried. I also love It Girl! Fresh is nice too.
I´m a deeper concealer girl. I use it as eyeshadow as well instead of buying cream eyeshadows. It works great and last all days. I mix my own colors too and save so much money.
Please could you do a video where you go through your go to make up brushes! This make up look is stunning x
The new concealer pens are such a delight to work with!!! Very great for travel and for touch ups throughout the day. It reminds me a lot of the nars matte pot concealer but in a pen form. So easy to blend out in my opinion and I have dry skin and dry under eyes. You must try it!
Such a great spring look! We love a Full Face Friday
You look gorgeous. I love LM especially the blushes.
