  • The Med-E-Lert is a pill dispenser, organizer and alarm all in one unit. Since there are 28 compartments it can handle up to 28 days of dosage. This can be prescription medications, vitamin supplements or over the counter products. A caregiver could even put a reminder note or a treat like candy in the compartment. There are no pill boxes to remove or lids to open. When the caregiver's pre set time for the patient to take the medication comes the carousel rotates to the next compartment. The user just tips it over and the pills will slide out into their hand. An alarm will sound and a light will flash for 30 minutes till the pills are removed. This medication safety product eliminates double dosing or other medication errors. Keeping your loved one or patient safe and independent is all part of great caregiving. The independence can create a feeling of self esteem and not being a burden.

This pill dispenser has helped my loved one with dementia from taking too many pills in a day. The video instructions are very easy to understand. Thank you.

Thank you! The battery went dead and I couldn’t remember how to reset the time!

This is a great device. I find it easier to set the alarms in the 24 hour mode and then set the device back to 12 am/pm after.

On my GMS unit I need to press 1 and 3 until it beeps to set the alarms. Once it beeps its still on the clock so you can press 1 to advance it to the next alarm and then set the time with 2 and 3. Once you have cycled through all the alarms it resets to operate so if you mess up you need to press 1 and 3 again. Finally - I cannot read am and pm on the lcd display so I put the device in 24 hour mode to set the alarm times and them back to 12 hour mode for the providers.Really a life saver for my mother with dementia and heart valve replacement (so cumadin...)

This dispenser is great, my caregiver is out of town and the batteries died, do you think you could go a little slower with the instructions? The product is great

This was ok for setting up the time but you did not show any pills being dispensed. If you have several you take at the same time, do you dump them one by one? This was an incomplete demo in my opinion.

Hello. If you take several pills at the same time, all of those pills can be put into one compartment and dispensed at the same time - The Alzheimer's Store

@@Alzheimers-Store yep was a code for needing the batteries changed out. Would have been nice to see that in the manual, but you live and learn.
