He played Chris Darden so well. He humanized a man who had been so villified. Love him.

Believe me he is the SAME in lots of aspects! He has to be just by definition of being a Black man.

I never watched the trial. As far as I'm concerned, he humanized Chris Darden and the backstory allowed me to see the parallel stories acting in the perimeter of that situation quite clearly. Based on who he married, the residuals of that relationship with Marcia Clarke remained with Chris Darden long after the trial and the public scrutiny ended

Why is that white Hollywood journalist always seem to want to talk to black people about Race. It's like when they see us all the see is our race and they don't think we are more than that.

Interviewer/Moderator was VERY VERY annoying and distracting. I'll bet he said so to his wife when he got home. I hope these comments from the watchers will help her to stop OR perhaps they could find another person. He is wonderfully wonderful, isn't he?!?

Recognition of listening and understanding is one of the keys in good interviewing.

I kind of like it. It makes someone know that they are not just being listened to but also being heard. Plus her questions are great.

I totally agree! I know the interviewer doing it to show active listening and all of that, but it was not working. That is inappropriate for that setting, because she turned the whole roundtable discussion into a one on one conversation by always drawing the attention back to herself. And the tone of the mhmm made it sound like she was subtly trying to get him to wrap up his point when he was in the middle of talking.

Don't be duped. They emasculate the perception of what a black man is by making the guy's dad gay (i.e what they refer to as bi in the show).
Also their are other underhanded racist moments like when Sterlings character gets high off mushrooms and Sees Milos character. Milo calls Sterling "son" which young and old white men use to refer to older or young blacks back when blacks had less rights or they use the term "boy".
Other instances of this covert racism are when Sterlings characters wife says she'll bake some weed brownies. This is a stereo type that all blacks are into weed.
One of the really blatant forms of racism in the show is when Sterlings character mimicks a stereotypical Asian using a stereotypical accent.
