The mechanism and technique of every step, open or basic is derived from if not identical to the "Walk". Hence to be able to "walk" ia a ticket to good rumba. Thank you Kyryl!

Is this not backweighted ? I am confused if the body needs to go first or not ? Thank you

Hello Sunny, actually you are absolutely correct with your question. Body/spine indeed starts to project and moving before the step happens. That’s how we walk. But the moment that projection happened - the pelvis is moving underneath and not being delayed. You are absolutely right - we cannot move our pelvis (Center of gravity only) without prior spine projection. My main point I was trying to emphasize is the pelvis’ movement and reaction to weight transfer. The spine projection is happening all the way through the beginning to the end of weight transfer.

@@every_heart_can_dance thank you so much for your reply and explanation ❤️ Is there a video showing how to do body projection while moving the pelvis underneath ? I am always confused with these actions . Thank you so much again for your reply

The mechanism and technique of every figure, open or basic is derived from if not identical to the "Walk". Hence to be able to "walk" well is a ticket to good rumba. Thank you Kyryl!

Great video, but imo you speak here a little too fast and the cuts from section to section are too fast, either. I much prefer your slower teaching in the previous videos. With "slower", I don't mean the music rather than the way you talk about topics and also leave pauses in talking. Besides that, I like the content a lot and agree with most of your points! :)
Even more: I think, that your intro snippet is not necessary in between of your talking sections. The additional gifs/images are not bad but not really helpful for the understanding and can be left out too. :)

Thank you for sharing, Razah. I appreciate your candid comments. Was trying keep it as short and down the point. The original video was a bit too long - about 26 minutes. I’ll adjust. Thank you.

@@every_heart_can_dance I see! Maybe the sweet spot is in between 10 and 26 minutes. :)
