OH BOY PHIL! How fun a new toy. It looks a lot easier to use than the older machine, less waste. Enjoy! Can't wait for tomorrow and another great video.
Morning Phil, It was obvious from your voice and enthusiasm that you were have sooooo much fun with this button maker. Great tool and and a great video my friend. See you tomorrow morning for another cup of tea. Take care Phil. Cheers, Huw
Wow sneaking in a Wednesday video. What a treat. Can't wait for tomorrow as well, but I will look into this. I remember making buttons the old way you showed.
i got such a tickle 😄out of your excitement over this button maker. There was one point many years ago that I was thinking about doing buttons. I will file this info under my hat.
Recently a young fellow came to my door selling something I wasnt interested in. The kid is out there trying to make a buck, I get it. I explained I wasnt inerested and didnt want to take up his time. He got it. He spoke of gaining life experience and reaching maturity. A conversation then took place and he ended up asking me for advice. I explained maturity is a key. I also cautioned not to take it too far. Never loose your curiousity and never assume there isnt something someone else can teach you. Be prepared to share new insights when the opportunity presents itself. I say opportunity because this isnt a burden. Phil, this video is exactly, exactly what I was trying to convey. Young at heart. I try, but epoxy and ca glue lurks around every effort. The funky chicken thing again, oh ya. I did make a plywood sand of flex. Dear lord, geometry class seems like the dark ages. Be good.
Great story! Getting a young person to stand still and listen is a gift! And, of course, you are so right! Never cheat yourself out of the opportunity to learn something new. A plywood sand o flex? I love it! What a great idea! 😃
hey phil buddy . nice machine . i needed that thing 40 years ago lol . everyone i knew was into buttons . now most of my friends are ether long gone or dead . but still a cool hobby . thanks for showing everyone . hope your doing good brother stay cool and turn safe .
Phil, thanks for the reminder. I used a Badge-a-Minit button maker back in the mid 1970's when I worked at a Bible camp. I remember having a great time making the badges and I still have some of them!
Well you are sure right about that being fun Phil. It was also fun watching you have so much fun . I would say watch your self don't be pushing my buttons...but I wont LOL It sure does seem like a nicely built machine and I love most all machines. Very cool! Gary
I love machines too, Gary and that's why I was so impressed by this one. It's just really well made. Weighs almost 20 pounds and the machining is excellent! It was a very pleasant surprise. Phrase ideas keep coming to me but by the time I get a pen and paper in hand I've forgotten them! LOL! Thanks, buddy! 😃
Hey Phil, nice machine and it looks like a ton of fun to play with. Today I did all the prep work to replace the metal 4 X 10 heating and AC ducts with 6 X 10 oak register covers for the entire house. All that is left is using 2 1/2" wood screws to finish the install. I have only 4 wood screws left in the box and just didn't feel like heading to the hardware store today. Making buttons surely would calm me down from my minor disappointment. I wonder if they make a machine that creates wood screws in assorted sizes.
I recently had a shortage problem with gromets. It was amazing how many opened bags of gromets I was able to uncover between the shed, the junk drawer and the workshop. In the end the job was done and I had three left over. Now, if it would stop raining long enough to finish the project.........
That does look like a bunch of fun and I reckon even I could work out the programming and technical side of this unit without bringing in my granddaughter 😂, thanks for sharing. All the best to you. Regards Jim
Shady Acres Laundry Room? 😮 Wow, you are into everything aren’t you, Phil!?! All kidding aside, that looks like a lot of fun. I’m sure Vevor is going to be very happy with the number of calls. They’re likely to get because of your video. Looking forward to tomorrow’s turning video, my friend. Take care, …..Gord
Thank You Phil... Wow you caught me off guard ha!!! OK now Phil sounded like YOU were having tons of fun and you make a good positive representee for that button making machine. I would like to see your logo "Shady Acres Wood Shop" button WITH a live edge all the way around, ha. 😛
That is an awesome tool. When I was younger I was a HUGE button collector. Mostly Presidential Election buttons. but I had them on everything. Lol. Might have to look in to getting one of them tools. Keep up the great work. 👽
I can see one of those would be good for clubs, I play Short Mat Bowls be nice for team to wear when visiting other clubs, many team sports or other organisations would get a lot of satisfaction using one. Good hobby Phil. 😁
Great video Phil. Used one of these with our beekeeping club in Scotland. Very popular with children at our events when they could select their picture from our many blanks and make their own badge. Some children liked to draw their own design. Good fun.
Phil…Glad to see your having fun with your new toy! So manny possibilities. I will be sure to show my youngest daughter this . This may be something she can use to make a few bucks in our craft fair booth.
Well that was fun! I couldn’t for the life of me figure out how the picture part magically got on the upside down back part until you did the second button. Very cool! Cheers, Rick
A few years ago I was turning bottle stoppers that were kind of themed. I used buttons that I bought on ebay. I made Mn Vikings, packers, John deer, Harley Davidson, Christmas, etc. I used texture and color on these things and they turned out great. The buttons I used measured 1" outside diameter. Anyhow you're having fun and that is what counts
Sounds like you were having fun, too, David! I've turned bottle stoppers along with pens, toys, etc. The stoppers were the most fun because as you said, you can decorate that top! 😃
You never cease to amaze me!!! Love the button machine. I'm gonna show this to our events coordinator. I live in a retirement highrise and we're always looking for things to make. Thanks for sharing this. Look forward to seeing your video tomorrow. 😊

This one also had an advert in it too. Now I think it's great if you make some money from your videos Phil, no-one deserves it more than you so I'm not complaining and I don't suppose many of your viewers would mind too much either.
