I have the exhaust before that. An I did that brace bar before I pulled body off. It's really right along the body an driveahaft had plenty of room

If you cut plates like you did you have to V OUT the plates and stitch weld and cap the plates. If you just butt those plates with high HP it most likely crack at those seams.

@@mcbluecollarguy2382 Oh you will put a 1000 plus HP engine with gears and you will twist that frame. There have been plenty of pictures of guys that twist the A ,G CHASSIS'S right off the line.I am only trying to help you before you damage the chassis. You need to look up 3, 4 and 6 g welding.I have been building cars before you were born.

I don't have the money for a 1000+hp motor an if it does break an I'm able to have a 1000+hp motor I will back half the car. That's awesome you've been doing it since before i was born. I don't weld professionally, I dont build racecars professionally, I'm jus a blue collar guy trying to put a car together to race. Goes back to reason I wanted to do videos is because you dont see many people showing how there doing them with what works an doesn't. Thanks appreciate the weld video link

after notching the rear frame what’s the biggest width of wheels can fit back there? x10, x10.5, x11, x12?

I have anothervid that shows how much clearance there is. But where I notched it was at the seam. Which I've seen alot of other people go further. I have a set of 10 wide rims on it now with a 4.5 bs. You could go another inch to a 5.5 bs an possibly fit 12s. Seen some people do it, jus depends on ride height, wheel dimensions you want

great feed back information bro, i didn’t know you can go further then the seam, I’m most likely going to push it as far as possible, my 78 Malibu coupe currently has a Supercharged LSA with a TR6060 Trans & I’m in the process of installing some lambo wheels which the rear wheels are 20x11 with a offset of 43mm, I’m going to get 5x4.75 to 5x112 bolt pattern adaptors to fit them but my main concern was the rear frame getting in the way of the width of the wheel, yea sounds like something off the wall but I’m really trying to get this done, any suggestions bro?

If you got the specs for the wheels you wana run start measuring out where there gona sit on the car. I've seen some people go all the way to the inside frame. Just make sure your doing your bracing before you to the notch so frame alignment doesn't move. More then likely need to do mini wheel tubes but I could be wrong. Guy to look up is elco Warren. Hes got alot of vids an his stuff is really top notch.

ZoCustom250 rears are 15*10 with 4.5" backspacing, tire is 275/50. I had about an inch or jus over before the notch. I'll plan on buying another set of 15*10 but with a 5.5" backspace to tuck it inside the quarter panel because I plan on lowering the car more cuz the 1st springs I bought made it sit to high

I have a video of the rearend in after the notch an framework done. Although it's hard to get full picture with the body off. An I haven't posted an update cuz the frame has been out to get blasted and powder coated for the last 2 weeks now.

The rear wheels won't hit the frame on a three wheel. And take off the paint or coating.

Thanks for your video. Subscribe to see how you do the wheel tub for the wider tires. I’m working on a 69 Chevelle for street and cruise. I see a lot of things helpful. I will be watching for next post. Thanks

How is ¼ inch required an 10 gauge not thick enough. Most c notch kits even UMI kit is ⅛ inch thick...

@@mcbluecollarguy2382 not to argue but 1/4 inch is the way to go for the structural strength. I hear what you are saying though.I checked you out and you are legit.I am too but don't have videos to prove it.I might do a walk around video of the one I'm doing now when it's done.
