    This is a composition I've created many years ago for the 20th anniversary of the accident happened at CHNPP.
    I wanted to both commemorate to what happened and to praise achievements of human engineering
    while utilizing the broad possibilities of my Yamaha PSR 2100 synth. Then the music really needed a clip as well to tell the real meaning.
    Than you for tuning in!
    Long version of the music can be found here:

If we could stop bickering and put our technology together for peaceful purposes we could accomplish amazing leaps forward instead of hiding it from each other. They had accidents as did Us too. It all started from captured Germans both sides got. I believe that RBMK used U-238 which was cheap and could produce Plutonium as a side product?

    To build such a powerful nuclear power plant, to then take and destroy, bring the reactor to an explosion. The operators did their job, they did not suspect the explosion, that night in 1986 no one still knows what conversations or disputes between the operators were, they would cancel the experiment, another change continued it, the explosion was inevitable.

    • @Midnight2831
      @Midnight2831 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The accident was 100% preventable. Unfortunately the truth about the reactor design that led to the power spike was kept from the operators. It was a state secret. The test was poorly planned and all of the precautions built into the test were defeated by the operators in order to get it done ASAP.

    At 1:48 you can see the computer refreshing the reactor display. Look at the refresh rate. Then at 4:22 you see the enterprise computer. It's too bad the Russians let that dragon out of its lair. Every reactor is a dragon fighting to get out.

More than 4,000 inputs and 12,000 parameters had to be monitored. Man would not have been able to do that. I think it was a very big performance at the time, fantastic to control the reactor. And a printer on the left side of the reactor control panel actually worked.

      had 2 (or 3) screens where the turbine and reactor halls would be visible via ktp-63-like surveillance cameras. Sadly they weren't able to record, live footage only.
