Back with a short Thailand vlog of our incredible day spent at the Elephant Jungle Sanctuary in Phuket, Thailand.
We highly recommend you to visit for an experience that will last a life time!! It was definitely one of our favourite moments in our Thailand trip.

I have a deep appreciation for how you chose to go to an elephant sanctuary, instead of a riding tour and sharing your knowledge with us! Elephants are one of my favorite animals, so I hope I'll be able to experience this some day! It looked incredibly fun and I loved how they gave you each a shirt! They all seemed to have a different pattern, which makes it even more special!

I had no idea about the elephants there. The whole experience with the elephants seem so much fun. It's really good to know since we're also planning a visit to Thailand sometime soon :D

Hi! Great blog. I have a question: Is there a place to shower once you are finished? we have a flight later in the day and would love to go to the sanctuary right before and I'm just not sure yet because we don't want to catch an 28hr flight back home dirty.

ahhh...I have mixed feelings about this place. I read other reviews that said that the Elephants are forced into the water and doing tricks like putting their trunks around people for pictures and the space there is too small for them and that they are kept tied to trees when the activities are over... It also said that the Elephants are poked and their ears pulled if they try to leave the water... It looks like a great place and if you're so into the activities subtle cruelty like that could be left unnoticed but still...
I heard that the only real sanctuary is PHUKET ELEPHANT SANCTUARY and it does not offer baths together with Elephants. It's further away and doesn't offer hotel pickups so I don't know who to believe and what to choose... Guess I will go for the cruelty free option.
MarijaKeisha yes!! This is true. Phuket elephant sanctuary is the only one that has the elephants happiness and health as it’s top priority. The only place I would go

Hi Charly! We booked ours about 2 weeks in advance. They are quite busy during popular vacation seasons so it's definitely better to book in advance on their website! Hope this helps! - Thomas & Tracey

enienileg Please check out Elephant Nature Park in Chiangmai. They're the first sanctuary that helps injured elephants from the riding and logging business, street begging or circus. They have many projects that you can volunteer in many provinces including Phuket.

With all due respect, but it is such a shame that you are not aware how unethical and harmful for elephants this is.
