I got home from a week in Tunisia just yesterday, and while I was there, I drank a LOT of Boga Cidre! However, I can't say that I tasted anything apple-related in there. I thought it had an unusual but pleasant flavour and is unlike anything I've tasted here in the UK. The only thing I could very loosely compare it to is a drink that used to be popular here, but isn't so much any more, and that's Dandelion and Burdock.
@Am Paul So you did, I hadn't seen the comment mentioning that it was carob cider! I had a great time in Tunisia thanks! I didn't get to do a lot of the things I had planned because of bad weather, but the few days I spent in Tunis plus a few days in Djerba were a good introduction to the country. I'm lucky that I live only a 2.5 hour flight from Tunis, so can easily go back and do the things I missed some other time. 😊
Hi Paul, I found your youtube channel some weeks ago. I was searching some things about Tunisia. My father is Tunisian and my mother is Italian, unfortunately I don't speak much arabic tunisian because I didn't spent much time in Tunisia. Boga Cidr is the best drink I ever had. Anyway I suggest you some biscuits like LBM taste almond or rice and Croquette with coco taste. If you need some topic about traditional food or street food, I will really glad to help you.
Fun fact Boga cider isnt Apple cider but Carob cider😀 Sablito have a double chocolate version and in my opinion it's the best. The texture is a bit crumbly and less dry than the others and the chocolate taste is more pronounced. There is another X-plose with black packaging and it's really good give it a try
please upload more tunisian language conversation, i want to learn more. Thanks

Hope you enjoyed your time in Tunisia! I actually found out after the video was released that the flavor could be Carob Cidre, not apple cider!
