    1. Find a beat to match your original thought.
    2. Keep a library of notes for the emotions you're feeling
    3. Authenticity over audience. This involves: considering the listener when you're brand new, put in enough hours of work to write a 100 bars rap on the spot, and once you reach mastery do it just for you.
    4. Once you're done (with a song) you're done. (Leonardo da Vinci quote: no 'great' work of art is ever finished, only abandoned)

    FEAR is so raw about what it's like growing up in an insecure environment. When your parents are your first bullies, it really shrouds your worldview and makes it difficult to grow into a healthy adult. "you gon' fear me if you don't fear no one else"

    I do the the same thing as Kendrick tbh .... It naturally occurs tho... I just take notes cz like Eminem I'm overloaded with lyrics and ideas to the point where I gotta write down the idea.... if I don't write it down at that specific time I might/may forget it while new ideas/lyrics/flows just keep flowing my brain like ... I'm just in the of perfecting my craft ...cz when I pop out peeps Gon know my name 👀.... I said that ..YES

    Best advice you can get on this, use other artist as an outline or guide then come up with your own for the sake of originality (we already have too many Migos flowers in the game) so that you develop your own style and song writing process instead of sounding like the artist you studying or like everybody else .

    Notes are important. Sometimes i write a rap and don't record it. Or write a few lines and not record those same lyrics can be used for freestyles or even other songs.

    I’ve mastered writing bars I could go all day as long as I want str8 🔥 just bought a lap top and studio package to record… tho my boy who raps and is really good but not doing anything with it says I can’t learn how to ride the beat by spitting my lyrics on the beat the way I feel or want to spit it and record it over and over again until I get the hang of Riding the beat is that true?

    Hi, I write the verse first and then search the type of beat I think would be good for the verse... What is your opinion on this?
    One thing that I do similar to KDot is every now and then I get a bar in my head and I write some either using it as first brick or putting it in the center and building around it.
