Anjelah Johnson is precious... I discovered her nail salon video about five years ago, and became an instant fan - I've been keeping up with her ever since. She is definitely one of the very best comedian's of this day and age - and she deserves all the success that she's reaped! Can't wait to see what she does next!

I completely relate to what he said! My parents purposely didn't speak to us in Spanish so that English would be our first language. But they spoke to each other in Spanish. Which is why I can't speak it, but can understand when others speak it. What a world. I love the USA 🇺🇸 ♥ and tacos, tacos forever lol.
OMG! just seen Anjelahs stand up act for the first time & I'm totally hooked! And that led me to click on this great video. So not only was I fortunate enough to click on one of her videos by accident but now I'm addicted to Electric Taco!!! I might have to seek out a 12 step program, 2 addictions formed in one day! I also wanted to comment on the fact that her routines are historical but contain minimal (if any) profanity. It's really rare in this day & age not to. Personally, I have no problem with it but this does give her a one up on comics that do use it as it makes going to her shows family friendly. I don't know how I have never heard of her before now. Once people do discover this diamond in the rough. The sky will be the limit deservingly for her!!!!!!!
I was born and raised on the Navajo Reservation but I can’t speak Navajo. My parents are fluent but never taught their children and that makes me sad too. Absolutely love Anjelah Johnson.💗💗 I wanted to see her at Indianapolis for my birthday but the show got cancelled.
Props to your parents for teaching you English and fostering your appreciation for being American. I come from Italian/Sicilian parents whose parents raised them the same, to appreciate and respect the new world. We make our wonderful food, we drink our delizioso vino, we love like Latin Italia, but we are here and we speak English. Thank you for being an example. Great show! You're both humble and lovely.
As a Linguist I have to say that NOT being able to speak more than one language is never an advantage. My ancestors have been in what is now U.S. territory since before even the Mexicans were here and we learned both Spanish and English ( and I've learned other languages since then). Yes, respect the country you are in, but not by limiting yourself. I taught my children Spanish as well as English and they are much better for it. Respect is better felt than spoken.
I wonder how she got the last name Johnson since she is Mexican? There is a lot of Mexican Americans that dont speak Spanish in California but a lot do too. I was also shocked that there were so many Asian Americans because im from Florida and you just dont see that here plus our Mexican food sucks lol Anyway it was a shock because im Mexican born and I had never been to California and I just never really thought of the makeup of peope there before. I can say I felt right at home though some parts are even called "Little Mexico" I literally felt I was in Mexico it was amazing to see and experience. China Town was kool too I thought I was in China.
The only time I was ever a fan of any sports team was Oakland Raiders in the early to mid 1970's. They would come to Santa Rosa CA to practice, do lots of cocaine, destroy motel rooms, beat up prostitutes, hurt their opponents, and win Super Bowls. That was all before Anjelah's time as a Raiderette. I quit being a Raiders fan when they moved to Los Angeles.
