I think it's actually spelled thalassophobia.
Through the whole video I'm thinking, "Who the hell filmed these?!"
The problem with me is i think every animal is cute even the monkfish
@April Rodriguez Here's a thought. Maybe it's no one's fault.

People with death wishes
I used to think that the Great White shark was the most dangerous animal in the sea
.. then I learned that they occasionally got hunted as food, by a group of Orka's !
Damn Nature, you scary !
The great white shark wouldn’t even be in the top 20
@@bonnieplushtuber5517 yes he is right great whites are extremely non aggressive toward humans and they are even the most aggressive shark yet cows kill more people a year than them
@@brycekorner607 herbivores in general are more dangerous then carnivores.
Since there used to getting eaten all the time most herbivores have this everything is a threat mentality.
And since they all have thick skin and huge mass that just makes them more able to kill your.
I mean come on moose things that eat shrubs and some times pumpkins are 11 ft tall and weigh thousands of pounds.
It’s no surprise cows kill more people a year then great whites to me.
@@brycekorner607 "cows kill more people a year than them" this type of info is always funny to read owing to how misleading it is. 🙃
Can’t believe Steve Irwin has been dead more than 13 years
Seriously. I loved that guy.

Never get behind or step on the barb of the stingrays poor Steve R.I.P.
In all my years of scuba diving and snorkeling around the world, I've never been attacked by anything.
And I have dove in open ocean with numerous and varied species of shark.
another fun fact
The blue-ringed octopus is only about 20cm (8in) long, but it is one of the most venomous animals in the ocean. Its bite causes paralysis (loss of feeling) in the muscles and can easily kill an adult human. The octopus grabs prey, such as crustaceans and fish, and bites them to inject the venom.
The trick with sting rays is you need to shuffle your feet in the water to give them warning.

💯
I knew about the box jellyfish when I was learning about deep sea life in year 5! Not to brag but it's rare to the human eye just like most deep dwellers
My brother got bitten by a crocodile on vacation and he now has a robot arm so I’m just spreading awareness to everybody when then on vacation somewhere with dangerous animals STAY SAFE!!!!
Eastern Atlantic and the Caribbean is NOT the home of the Lionfish. The Lionfish is native to the Pacific not the Atlantic and was introduced by humans, so yea we do have the right to move them since we put them there....get your facts straight....
Cal Erba Who pissed in your Cheerios?😂 Ur sounding kinda bitchy🤣
Nerd
amphibian Wendigo? lol just speculation bro lol
Cal is absolutely right. Lionfish are one of the most invasive species to ever pioneer the Atlantic, Caribbean and Mediterranean ecological systems. They are a major threat to reef diversity and could lead to very serious problems down the road. If you see one, eat it!!! They are a decent tasting and completely edible fish. Good for you for being a nerd, Cal. Information is power.

Nile crocodiles have got the strongest bite, not saltwater Crocs. Jeez
Fantastic! the video I could not stop watching. I found it very informative.
Saying "this is their home" about the invasive lionfish is comical

When your entering water and your in a area where sand sharks or stingrays, shuffle your feet so you don’t step on one because they will attack.
Simply Oreo my dad got stung by one when he stepped on it
I love learning about sea creatures and I love the ocean good video
Saltwater crocs are “the most dangerous” animal of Australia but the box jellyfish has caused more deaths than crocs, snakes, and sharks combined??
Yes, but unlike the others the Croc will actively try to kill and eat you.
@@georgemartinez178 This again just goes to show how dangerous the box jellyfish is. It's not even _trying_ to kill humans, yet it does kill more people than the aggressive crocs.
At least if you see a saltwater crocodile in the distance, you still have a chance to gtfo, but with the jelly, you won't even see your demise coming!
@@LRM12o8 But you gotta take into account that the jellyfish is something you'll accidentally bump into. It has no ill intentions or instinct to kill, he just be vibing in the waves. Crocs will see you and think "hehe yummy for my tummy". But I definitely get what you're saying, you're chances of surviving the sting is much lower than surviving a Croc attack.
Deadlier: the jellyfish
More Dangerous: the Croc
Watching that cone snail consume a giant fish now makes me scared of snails.
That thumbnail is freaky 😂 my gf is going into the Navy with her cousin so that's epicly fun and I wish her good luck (: ❤️
Dude this was so informative
With the Box Jellyfish, I believe you should have mentioned by name the much smaller but also very deadly Irukandji as well...a type of "Box Jellyfish" but virtually impossible to see because of its very small ADULT size (~1cm x 1cm x 1cm) and transparency. Irukandji stings can cause fatal brain hemorrhage in a very short time.
“In Queensland alone, WE PUT MORE PEOPLE IN HOSPITAL DUE TO IRUKANDJI STINGS than shark attacks, crocodile attacks and snake bites COMBINED. This is something that we need to address now. I can see a time when we have to shut major beaches on the Sunshine Coast. It is going to happen.”-source: theguardian [emphases added]
Most terrifying. Because can hardly see it!

I found Dory when he was talking about the stone fish
Most dangerous creature all around, including to any form of life in the oceans: human.
OK boomer
I guess humans do kill more humans than any animal. I think the purpose was to discuss dangerous non-humans. Also, humans are not ‘sea creatures’. We are at best land creatures.
Zeno King of devils Mosquitoes kill about 1 million people a year from their diseases. Humans kill about 470,000 or so people a year.
If you see a stone...

Moron, Sting Rays don't bite, they sting with a very sharp barb on their tail !!!
I had a lionfish in my aquarium for years. He let me pet him and hand feed him live goldfish. Granted, I wouldn't recommend someone else try it, but that was my experience.
OOF! THIS MY FREAKING TYPE! I LOVE THESE VIDOES
Puts stingrays as 7th dangerous creature in the ocean
Only kills 1 person every year
Driftergamez93 doesn’t mean It can’t kill someone just means it will not attack anyone as much as others

I was gonna post something about that as well. In fact, on the east coast we have groups that go out to spear as many of them as possible. The lion fish are destroying the natural eco system there.
