Fantastic build and paint! I regret that I can only give one thumb up. Recently started using molitow chrome. What would be the best method to seal a piece and maintain the luster?
I dont seal it.
Instead of gluing have you considered “filament welding”?
I have but that really only gets the outside part. Because of the weight I needed to get it to bond solid.

if I had 500/700$
would u buy 1 new resin printer like the new fast 12k or 2 older models, print on both same time ,?? for this kinda work you do, large prints. thanks
and how much resin do the avg bigger statue take , in liters? like 40cm tall
Honestly I haven't used the new 12K printers yet, but I don't see much difference in print quality. Galactus was mostly FDM and only the head, arms, SS , hands were resin, so it didn't take much. Maybe 2kg.
@@TheCreativeCollector thanks, might get 1x12k then, less space then 2 Saturday 2 , and it seems it can print around 1.5 to 2x as fast. iv seen ppl say the m5s is the better one rn vs saturn 3 ultra , as it have auto bed levelling.
I do tho see one say it had voxel lines on smaller prints but im guessing on larger items like big stature its not a issue, I would guess.
also can you do the punisher ones you have, all over the place, on 2 liters resin also?

That one is from Prime 1. It's a 1/3 statue they came out with a few years ago.

Absolutely outstanding work! Curious as to how much the either approximate or guestimated cost was spent in the printing resin itself?? Just brilliant all around.
Most of it is FDM with only a few parts resin so it wasn't much. All in all I think I have about $400 in materials in it. The labor is another story. lol
Apologies if you already know this, don’t mean to teach how to suck eggs as they say! But in regards to the silver surfer, the black gloss base will give a duller kind of Matt metallic finish, as you found out. But a white gloss base makes it more of lighter metal look. Not sure if it would still be the dismissed look you would be looking for. But it is lighter more silvery finish with the white gloss base colour

For FDM I used the Creality CR10 and for resin I used the Linant Deck

Can't believe you did all of that without a pistol grip shaped airbrush. My finger would've fallen off bro. Great job. That is an amazing project.
Trust me...I bought a pistol grip after this one.
@@TheCreativeCollector It is a significant QoL upgrade. If you have always used a traditional airbrush you will love it.
I've used a pistol grip for years, I just didn't have one on hand. I have a mini HVLP gun that I use for motorcycle tanks but the pressure needed for that thing would've blown a hole in the filament.

You might be able to fit it on a Saturn. You'd just need to see about the Z axis height though
Would a Saturn print most of your marvel characters. And what size do you normally print your models in. And absolutely love your channel

amazing piece, how do you add magnet into hollow model?
I usually don't add magnets but you can pre drill the magnet size in chitubox with the right diameter you need for the magnet. I would use some epoxy resin to glue the magnet in the hole.
This is fantastic! I'd be curious to see the process of scaling something up to this kind of size
