I simply cannot fathom going into Ruthless with anything but fully maxed relic weapons, because so many people are just afk, throwing, trolling, or hoping for a carry. Im leveling the fist incase it gets buffed and becomes good, but I have to do it on Avg or Sub cause that the highest I can carry with a partially leveled weapon.
Imo the balanced Relic has the best stats Still I use the fencing due to the speed making it easier to flow through combos and take advantage of opportunities.
I tried. I really tried to like this weapon jn higher difficulties. Just couldn't manage it! Need to charge the attack to seemingly do damage, and the snipers just keep jumping away from you, while an entire army knaws at your back... When I was struggling with power fist, I swapped to power sword when I could and oh my goodness, the difference was unreal! Same level by the way.
I'm still leveling it and it's a total drag. It's boring to level and boring to use. 🙄 I feel like a cool perk for the 'Power Fist' to make it worthy would be for it to be maybe the only weapon that can block and perry anything. Meaning they can block/perry the blue icon attack and the red icon attacks. That would be its only saving grace at this point.
This weapon has a lot of visual/audio issues that make it way harder to use then necessary. 1.) No cue for charge damage (its 10x or 2.5x) varies throughout combo. Hammer has cues, why not PFist? 2.) No effective way to see your range like other weapons 3.) Its max hit limit is much lower then the chainsword/Psword/Phammer. Only its ground slam perk is equal to power stance power sword.
@warriorfire8103 My issue is the charged attacks seem phoned in. On chain sword, you have a kick, or a shoulder bash, or a stop depending on how many light attacks come first. For fist, it's either a backhand or clobber knocker, but there's two pedigrees of those depending on the number of light hits first. This thing needs a ground slam attack that does aoe to clear the minors around you.
😅 I like the effort but ya the block version doesn't take advantage of power fist unique traits or bulwarks aoe on parry perk. You're better off with the purple one that actually has the biggest power. The extra cleave only shows its value when you're surrounded. Dangerous spot for a block weapon.
I recently discussed bulwark & blocking weapons with another commenter on a different video, and I'll mention it here too. IMHO, and after a fair bit of experimentation, blocking just doesn't feel good. Maybe with some adjusted perks that "buff" blocking, or add some additional depth to perks that would use blocking mechanisms it could be good. Certainly for me personally, I'll take fencing over blocking every time.
@MercTechBenny I've come to enjoy blocking weapons very much. It's a bit of a learning curve. But I find that it's better overall when canceling a swarm of minoris enemies. Also, very good for bunching up majoris to kill them all with a charged attack.
@@romyo6173 Yeah so I've taken to "practicing" my blocking over the last 3 days or so. I'm running Ruthless Decapitation with Vanguard (Occulus / NVP / Blocking Chainsword). I've gotten much better with blocking and I kind of like it, or at least I can see why folks do like it. It's hard work though running blocking and way more difficult imho than fencing / parry. I think for me, the lack of a "stun/knock-back" on Minoris enemies (especially when in a swarm) is the largest difference and most difficult variance (in the two styles) to overcome. I'm gonna keep working at it, but I think at this point I can definitively say fencing is just better. I fully expect that Saber will continue to refine blocking style and I want to be ready, cause when it "comes online" I think it might become my go to with certain classes.
I use the power fist on assault because i just love how it looks and its animations. Ive played with it on all the difficulties and it feels so weak. Like id be better off punching the enemy with my own hands on lethal than punching them with the power fist.
The fist needs a buff, if only because on tabletop they are very strong and in game it takes way too many hits to kill Majoris or higher. I'm not convinced block weapons are worth it for Bulwark, they seem better suited for Vanguard and maybe Assault with the hammer.
I feel like the banner damage and the reduced banner time are counter productive perks.
While Block Chainsword and Thunderhammer does their job perfectly Block version of Power Fist/Sword are really underwhelming on the damage department.

You’re a brave man for this 😂
It’s awful, I hated leveling it

Yeah I would love to try the fist on Vanguard but that isn't possible lol! It is definitely underwhelming.

I prefer blocking weapons over fencing
